Lunch here with my wife recently. We have a dearth of good Asian restaurants where we live in Florida, so we were anxious for some good Indian food. Our lunch was simple: one chicken Tikka Masala, and one Tandoori Chicken, plus orders of Plain Naan, and Garlic Naan (LOTS of garlic!). Service was efficient and friendly. Our dishes were prepared... A little further to walk from campus, but easy if you have a car. This restaurant serves a selection of delicious bites of mouth-watering Indian, Nepalese and Bhutanese dishes, with outstanding service, generous portions and flavors that hit all the right spots on your taste-buds. I must however flat out state that the tastes far superior to what is served... More

We've been to this restaurant several times and have ordered different dishes on each occasion. Most of the meals have been good to very good but the food has been, at times, a bit inconsistent. On our last visit we ordered Chicken Tikka - OK but surprisingly bland. We also ordered one of the Himalayan regional specials, a chicken dish.... More

I took my son (a recent UC Berkeley grad) to lunch here -- the second time for both of us. Himalayan Flavors again did not disappoint. Everything we have had has been delicious. It's now on our list of "favorites" for Berkeley visits.

Oh, my, but every morsel was tasty! Even my 2 year old granddaughter loved every bite. Amazing coconut naan! We oohed and aahed through the whole meal. The service was impeccable, the decor genuinely authentic. Priceless. Thank you!

I was introduced to Himalayan Flavors via a Groupon coupon. It has quickly become one of ym favorite restaurants. The meals are consistently excellent, the service is perfect, and the setting is lovely. The meal begins with an unannounced lentil soup, and sometimes something shows up at the end of the meal. Portions are large, so I often wind up... More

The star of my dinner experience was the samosa. With a flaky exterior, and sublime interior, it is highly recommended. I am a relatively inexperienced Indian food diner, so feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I greatly enjoyed my Chicken Tikka Masala. My friend had the Lamb Mushroom and it was good as well.... More

Its bit away from down town and university.. The quantity of food is huge. Taste is average. The staff is really nice. We had Biryani rice .. I would say just fine, nothing special. Good place if you are living near university avenue, northern Berkeley area.. They have some complimentary soup.. but it tasted like Dal. :P

We were searching for somewhere to eat after 9.30pm due to some work related issues. Coming from Australia, we were surprised to find that many restaurants close at 10.00pm in this neck of the woods. However, we had passed this place a few times, and we asked if they would still serve us. Thankfully and generously they did. Although they... More
