Fresh, fabulous food, Attentive service

A quiet table can be had at this trendy and hopping restraunt in the heart of Berkley! We were celebrating a birthday with a small group of three and after reading about the noise I requested a quiet table and our request was honored. Every visit to Gather has been awesome. The spicy tomato pizza with cashew cream is so crispy and perfectly spiced. I'm so sad they stopped making the vegan charcuterie, but their seasonal menu always has something new to try. My boyfriend is a big meat eater and I'm vegan and we can both find a satisfying meal, which is usually... More

We took a chance on calling in for Saturday brunch without a reservation. Must have been lucky - no problem in being seated at 11am. We had a great salad with a poached egg on the side; the whole meal pancakes with blueberries and ricotta and four coffees. The bill at $51 after tax seemed reasonable. We were made to... More

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating but I can't say I loved it. It's a farm to table restaurant and the ingredients were all really fresh and organic which I love. There was a variety of different veggies as well as some citrus fruits in our meal so it was super healthy but as my friend... More

Exceeded my pretty high expectations. Hence 5*. Berkeley eco at high level. Appropriately in Brower Center. Busy Tuesday early evening, but quiet. Service up to the top and not over it. Unobtrusive. Acoustics very good for conversation. Spicy carrot soup the best. Little Gem salad wonderful. Lintel croquettes very good, but at $24 seemed pricey. Then off to the Berkeley... More

Received a Gift Card as a Wedding Gift. Looked at the menu online & knew I was not going to like it. In taking my wife for a romantic dinner I was pleasantly surprised. We both enjoyed our dishes immensely. We definitely plan to return for another pleasurable dining experience.

Who can be surprised when my friends recommend GATHER for " the most unusual and fresh food in Berkeley?" I was at an informal lunch with new friends from Marin County and all the food was superb. Both pizzas, SPICY TOMATO with delicious cashew cream and the ASPARAGUS with asparagus, fava leaves and mint melted into our mouths and went... More

This place buzzes, and offers very good pizza and unusual sharing plates. I really enjoyed the wild mushroom plate in particular. It was a last minute decision to come here, and we had to wait for almost an hour to get a table (which we spent having a drink at a nearby cafe), so booking is essential. Service was surprisingly... Love this farm to table place. Creative menu with good vegetarian options, great brunch cocktails, try the breakfast pizza with an egg on it. Check out the bench made from belts. You may need a reservation, plan ahead, can get crowded, especially on busy Cal weekend.
