Always good, as usual

I like to visit this restaurant because it is clean, inexpensive, modern setting just like a good restaurant in Asia. We have been to this place many times and never were disappointed. Our absolute favorite is the seafood thai basil. Also the chicken with green beans, the salmon curry, and the pad see-ew (we prefer it with beef) are good. And don't forget the sweet sticky rice with mango as a dessert. The staff has always been friendly, service is... More

I've been going here for years, the food is consistently fresh, and the service is fast and friendly. It has a loyal lunch and take out crowd, also they conveniently allow parking in the hotel lot behind the restaurant. Their parang curry is spicy and deliciously addictive.

I'm no fan of Berkeley. It's a diaspora of retired hippies cum stock traders, numbskull college brats, and angry documentary filmmakers. The food however is very high IQ and makes living here almost tolerable. Bangkok Thai is the best Thai in town and one of the best I've had anywhere. It's a "real worlder" place as in it's not owned... More

We decided to try a Thai restaurant which was near us in Berkeley,California. It was conveniently on a main drag - University Avenue. The food was wonderful, and we pride ourselves in comparing Thai food wherever we go. The service was friendly and we were served quickly. The ambience was authentic Thai and relaxing. I would recommend this restaurant if... More

We seem to eat Thai while traveling then want more .Bangkok Thai is still 1 1/2 hours away but closer than Hawaii! We had Tom Yum Goong (Prawn Sour Soup) Bankok Spicy Fish, Garlic Prawns and sticky rice. Just 2 of us. Lots of good food! Unique flavors to every dish .. you know how sometimes it can all taste... If you're like me, you check out restaurant reviews before going to a place at which you've not eaten - especially in a city you are only visiting. The reviews for this restaurant were very positive, and after going there, I agree. Four of us had the lunch specials on a Wednesday afternoon. There were no crowds. The specials were... More

Very good food at a very fair price BUT, long lines and long wait. they are so popular there doesn't seem to be a time without a wait. However, that said, the tea salad was worth waiting for, the service quick and efficient and no need to ask for tea refills, they come automatically. Two dishes, tea salad and garlic... More

I went on a Monday night at 7:30 and it was very busy. It took a while to get the beer and food but well worth it. Thai Golden bags were deep fried dumplings of chicken with a cucumber sauce. My main course was a red mango chicken curry which was really yummy. I ate it all but barely! I'm... More

We've eaten here twice, both times for lunch. Food is very good, ingredients are fresh, portion sizes are generous. Menu, even the abbreviated lunch menu, offers a good variety of choices. The restaurant seems very clean, but is also due for some fresh paint. Very casual atmosphere. Service both times was excellent. Parking was available in the hotel lot behind... More
