Most Indian buffets put out sort of mid-range Indian options....good but not great. Priya is distinguished in that they have a variety of buffet options (e.g. not just the standard dal, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, etc). They usually have something that I've never tried or at least something that I don't routinely get so I have the opportunity to... More

We recently ate here for the first time. Hm. It was very authentically Indian. I will give it that. And it seemed like a family-style place. But whoa, we went at 5 pm and practically had to beg to not order "buffet." The food we did get was, at least, absolutely rock-solid and mouth-watering as well as a good price.... More

To be honest this didn't look too promising. A bit shabby, artificial flowers... Anyway I had a matter paneer thali and every bit of it was excellent. Really tasty, clearly distinghished flavours. Really several steps above the average. Service a bit random but go with it. Great value too.

I was hungry and had the luncheon buffet. Tandori chicken was good. Chicken marsala was OK. They served goat, which was good. A vegetable dish was good and spicy. There were four types of chutney. The mint and peanut chutneys ere spicy and were my favorites. The marasla tea was excellent as was the yogurt to cool the hot spices.

Used my credit card for a trip down the east coast. And used my dining companion's credit car to buy and expensive watch in Lahore.

Enjoyed the food, decor and service. Beware of filling up on the appetizers! Good thing we had a fridge and microwave for the leftovers. Short walk from Holiday Inn on University.

My spouse has been to India many times, and he has said this restaurant is as close to going to a posh Indian Restaurant in India. Was excellent food, great price, and great service. This is a very Non-Americanized restaurant. Get the Thali Dinner. It is the best value, and gives you a variety sampler style of Indian food.

I am always looking for good Indian food in any city I visit, but true South Indian restaurants are hard to find. Most Americans wll try North Indian but the southern cuisine is usually too hot for them. Priya is quite mild but has all the best menu selections and the price is low. Berkeley has so many Indian choices... More
