With a small but very well-done menu, Corso covers all the Tuscan highlights e xcept bread soup. Five house-made salumis. Twelve antipasti. Four house-made pastas. Six mains, and four side dishes. We had Caponata (which was truly a nit-to-be-missed version), Giadiniera (tasty but small), Frafale with a wonderful sauce (cooked less than al dente... a little too hard), and a... More

Went to Corso based on my cousin's recommendation. All four of us very much enjoyed our food and will return again. We started with the housemade charcuterie which was very good. We all then had salads of one sort or another which were fresh, simple and flavorful. The best, however, were the entrees. I had the Chicken ala Sostanza (one... More

This restaurant is a must! We'd never been in it before, even though we frequently dine out in Berkeley -- not sure how we missed it, but we won't any more. We sat at a window table, fortunately, because it's very noisy, even with relatively high ceilings. Not sure why, but we'll ask for that area any time we go... More

Great restaurants balance the richness of flavors with subtlety. I've dined at Corso twice within the past 6 weeks and, on both occasions, the food was too heavy handed. The Lattuga salad was sour and salty. The Yukon Gold potatoes were burdened by too much cheese. Such a shame, when all they really need is a bit of butter. And,... More

Warm, clean room with great relaxed vibe. Attentive knowledgeable staff. Bartender and waitstaff delight in helping you discover surprising mixed drinks and wines. Simply delicious food...every dish. Dinned here several times and never disappointed.

This will take you back to Italy without the language issues. This is a neighborhood gem. Simple regional food, prepared with care, and a nice selection of wines that fit the food. Not a great place for vegans, but there are options and the kitchen is accommodating. The menu changes frequently, so living near by makes it a nice choice... More

This was our first visit and the 2 of us were exceptionally pleased with the food and service. The mixed mustard green salad (Insalata di senape e pere) was delicately and deliciously dressed, generously portioned and loaded with large chunks of red pear. My companion greatly enjoyed the Lasagna bianco which although a "Primi" was sufficiently filling to serve as... More

Must be my tenth time here. So you know it's good. Simple Tuscan fare. A crudo of ahi tuna followed by a trippa Fiorentino (tripe with tomato sauce and chili). Utterly delicious. Washed down with a simple unassuming Tuscan red.

We had a wonderdul dinner last night . The food was unusually good , the menu offerings imaginative, not just a long list of pasta diahes. We had the pork dish and it was delicious and different from what you can normally get in this country. We like vegetables so with the pork we ordered a dish of spinach and a... More

This place is a bit pricey, but absolutely delicious. We enjoyed their zuppa del giorno, salsiccia, and grilled sea bass. The sea bass, especially, was excellent. The ambiance was also quite enjoyable. Cozy and intimate. A bit pricey, but worth it.
