I have been eating at Vivace for more than 10 years and it has become our favorite restaurant for two reasons. First of all the food is just delicious and the skirt steak is "world class", and secondly the staff are consistently friendly, efficient and genuinely seem to love hosting us at their restaurant. The owner Mike has become a... More

Went for lunch on a Monday. Arrived about 11:45. The restaurant was perhaps half full. One in the party ordered the Polenta Appetizer, and was told they were out of Polenta. I thought that was odd, it was before Noon, they are a restaurant and do have a cook...... Another ordered the Rissoto with chicken. That was served hot and... More

We are staying in the San Francisco Bay Area tonight, at the end of a week-long vacation in Northern California. I used to live out here, so it still feels like home to me. I have a list of favorite Italian restaurants here, and on the short list of favorites is Vivace in Belmont, California. It feels like a trip... More

Great food, lovely atmosphere, really good service for a local business. You can enjoy a nice meal at a table or just drinks and snacks in the cozy bar and watch the Giants game!

After 3 days of mediocre food in Sacramento, Vivace Ristorante was a delight. The cream of artichoke soup was sublime. The spaghetti and meatballs were very good. Service was attentive without being annoying. All in all, a delightful evening spent with a good friend. Thanks

Impeccable and attentive service. The restaurant itself is very romantic and appropriately lit to set the ambiance, and without exaggerating, I can say that this was some of the best Italian food I had in a long time. Literally everything we got was fantastic, but some highlights were the caprese salad, the lamb chops, the ravioli and the cheesecake. The... More

Even though I live walking distance from Vivace I haven't been there in years, I was too tiored to cook or drive tonight so we walked down for dinner. The pastas are much better than the pizzas, but overall it's expensive for what you get. The pizza is just average, honestly I think Domino's may be tastier. Service was good... More

Our family regularly goes to Vivace for a nice meal. It is a friendly spot with great food, and a very good wine list.

Not a big place, but it reminds you of the neighborhood restaurants in Rome or Florence. Food is excellent, wines are reasonable and the service is very good.
