Not for the outlet crowd

Located on the Eastbound on-ramp to I-10 where most of the outlet traffic leaves, Coyote tacos does less business than the casual observer would expect. The reason is obvious: Although its an excellent and busy location, the clientele has little patience for wait to make food and the place is just... read more

The best kept secret in the Cochella Valley! Crazy Coyote serves tacos, quesadillas and burritos and that's it! Worth the drive up to the Outlets just for lunch. Fresh! Homemade tortillas, a homemade salsa that will knock your socks off (when they say "hot," that's an understatement). Fresh cilantro - clean food and an immaculate kitchen. Great friendly service! Family... More

Crazy Coyote, just west of the Desert Hills Outlet stores, is our regular stop on the way to Palm Desert. The food is generally good, but quite limited. I usually order the chicken burrito with beans and rice because it is good and relatively easy to eat. The winds can be quite strong, so eating in the car is s... More

This little shack of a taco stand is awesome. Great tortillas (home made and thick) solid beans and rice... cheap, fast, friendly, and always consistent with the food. This is not FANCY, but good food!

Stopped by on the way down to Palm Springs and was hungrier than a crocodile on a diet. That said the burrito, a chilli verde, was tasty and did the job of filling me up. Remember this is a side of the road eatery (with seats) and you should get what you hope for. And that is why it got... More

Don't drive by this place. Delicious tamales and very nice people. Stop by early so they have tamales available. The building looks neglected, but the food is not.

The base taco is around $3.50 and it is not very big - the large is $6.50 and I would recommend this one. I had the fish taco (which was a fried fish stick) and my wife had the steak taco. The only things put on the taco are sauce, onions and cilantro. Afterwards, my son (who really likes this... More

Heading back to the LA area we stopped at the outlet malls.... excellent shopping but AWFUL food choices so on our way out, we stopped at the Crazy Coyote Taco place. Totally authentic and so flavorful. Most times beans are scooped on a plate and taste like nothing, but these were filled with flavor, and the medium salsa was just... More
