It's been six years since I was here and had the same poor service back then. 47 minutes for nachos? Come on, I could have walked to the market down the street and made my own in half the time. The only reason we were there was for a friend's retirement party.

Just what we wanted. Music, good food and inexpensive drinks. There was even are car show going on in the parking lot. Serve yourself free tortilla chips and salsa. You wait in line to order your food and drink and they bring it to your table.

First timer. Atmosphere was interesting; spacious and visually piquing. The food was just average. No better than others and no worse. A local fast food restaurant offers equally palatable food for a lower price.

I had the sampler and it comes with shrimp. Very good food. I recommend having the shrimp or the tri-tip. Perfect for a night out with the guys. Will return enjoyed happy hour at the bar.

Never before been anywhere like this before. Its kind of like a fast food restaurant in that you line up and order but then a sit down where they bring you your food. The place REEKS of liquid smoke and the food is just kind of odd. Kind of reminded me of food truck food. Not good really in any... More

Honestly. This is where I go during Football season to watch the games. Only because it's walking distance from the house. The food is ok, the beer is warm and Keg lines need to be flushed. The service is marginal and most of all the TV's are small and placed oddly. There is not ONE TV monitor that is larger... More

Ordered 1/2 chicken, delivered 4 pieces. Not 1/2 chicken, but when talked to one of the staff members, he immediately said, "your right" 1/2 chicken is not 2 legs and 2 thighs, and he quickly came back with the thickest juiciest breast I have ever seen or eaten. He could have been the manager, but no name tags, and didnt... More

Chuy's has basic, semi-Mexican style food. Lots of different tacos. Including at least 2 different fish tacos. I had the white fish tacos. Pretty good. The place is always crowded. Wednesday nights in the summer is the local bike night for the fair weather crowd.

Over all, Chueys is average at best. I think they survive on thier social scene. It's not really a "bar scene", but it is Bakersfield social scene. Food is tex-mex? Mex? I don't know. It's kinda like mexican, but not. And it's not really that good either. Sorry. It's just not.

Upon entering we were unsure how to proceed, no greeter at the door. Went to the counter and found out how to get F&B. An interesting concept - you go to the counter order drinks and take them with you, order food and they deliver to your table. They give you a stuffed animal (dirty) as your marker. This place...
