My wife and I had dinner at Milt's on the 4th of July!!! Very appropriate as it is an All American throw-back. Menu quite varied, with daily specials, we had Fish and Chips, an asked to go easy on the breading! They came very juicy, lightly breaded and delicious. The chips were fries but nicely done, with a good average... More

Even though I've lived in Bakersfield for almost 34 years, this was my first visit to Milt's. It felt like a time travel trip to the late 1950's... an unassuming diner with simple décor, excellent food, and great service. Now I want to go back again. I would recommend it to anyone traveling up or down Highway 99 -- just... More

I really liked this place. It reminded me of a restaurant my parents would stop and have us eat at on the way to visit family in the station wagon. I especially liked the 3-D map of the United States at the entrance and the collection on the wall of 50 decorative plates from each state in the Union. What... More

Milt's is collocated with the Vagabond Inn, North just North of Bakersfield off State Hwy 99. We overnighted at the Vagabond on a Monday on the way to Las Vegas a few weeks ago. Vagabond was good, too. Room rather small but spotless and less than $50. Anyway, Milt's was a breath of fresh air. Spotlessly clean, great food, very... More

We stopped through here on the way home last night. The service was awesome! Can't remember her name, but our server was so sweet and fun! Everything was delicious! My husband loved his taco salad. The onion rings were good too! I loved my peanut butter shake! They even gave me a tiny shake, which my girls shared. YUM! The... More

I've eaten here a few times in the past while in the area. They are a little slow but never disappoint. The servers are nice and very attentive. Wanted to try their famious fried chicken, but were all out. Settled on the Pork Loin instead. It was delicious. Wanted to try their pumpkin caramel cake room for it. I recommend... More

I don't think you can beat this place for convenience, cleanliness, cooking and . . . well, comfort. I happened across this Northwest Bakersfield restaurant very close to Highway 99 for an evening meal, and I ended up with a large bowl of macaroni and beef soup and a too-large Cobb salad, half of which I had to take home... Very close to Rt 99: easy off and easy on. Came here from LA on the way to Tahoe. Stopped for breakfast. Family owned and operated for 50 yrs. Wide and varied breakfast menu with some interesting things one wouldn't expect so far outside of LA. It also has the usual breakfast fare as well. Super friendly efficient service. Was... More
