Bill Lee's

We love coming to Bill Lee's for good chinese food. Great atmosphere and service. We came here before a concert at Rabobank, and were able to get in and out in a timely manner. We always enjoy our eating experience here.

It had been too long since I sat down for a meal at Bill Lee's, so I offered to meet my daughter there for lunch. I am glad I went early as it filled up rapidly. We ordered from the specials menu simply because the menu is extensive and I have little patience. I preceded it with a couple of... More

We have waited too long between visits here. Each time we return we tell ourselves to go more often. The menu has a lot of options, more than any other Chinese restaurant in town. The food is very good; the service is excellent; and the seating is sectioned in a way that never makes you feel like you're in a... More

Located downtown Bakersfield, Bill-Lee's has always been one of my favourite places to stop for an excellent lunch. We usually order the Cantonese style noodles, fried rice, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef. They are our top picks and we have turned several friends on to Bill-Lee's, who in turn, made it their own place to stop. Service is always spot... More

After more than fifty years in business you'd think they were doing something right. They're not. The second most cliche kind of Chinese food you can find in Bakersfield. The most cliche Chinese food you can get in Bakersfield is at the Rice Bowl, across the street.

Bill Lee's chopstick house serves chinese food from your past. It is not the new "yuppie" style of menu. Food is very good and price is reasonable.

My wife and I had dinner there a few weeks ago for the first time in several years. I had a seafood special which had lobster in it. The lobster was so overcooked it was like chewing rubber. In addition the fried dishes tasted like they were cooked in rancid oil. I brought the lobster issue up to our server... More

I grew up in Bakersfield from the late 70's to the present. Bill Lee's has always been a family favorite and that was before knowing it's history. The food was great as always. I treated 2 family members to dinner who have not tried Bill Lee's and they too were saying it was the best they'd ever had. Shrimp fried... More
