Yum!

The pumpkin pancakes are scrumptious. The service outstanding. Your coffee cup is never empty even on the busiest of days, when the business was closing. Extra items (peanut butter & whipped cream) delivered quickly. Consistently the best!!

This restaurant was promoted on Drive Ins, Diners and Dives. On our way to Yosemite from Los Angeles, we stopped there because of the TV show. I ordered the Texas style chili because it was profiled on the show. The chili was very tasty but unfortunately, it was served warm -- not hot, as it should have been. I ordered... More

Really good food - the cinnamon rolls are the size of an adult head! While waiting for a booth could take awhile, the restaurant offered immediate and comfortable counter seating which we took. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is on the small side, which means single-stall bathrooms that live up to the old definition of "water closet." Still... More

I used to work in Bakersfield and usually went to Breakfast when I got off work from night shift. The food is good and the service was good. I recommend this place.

The pumpkin pancakes with pecan butter were the best pancakes I have ever eaten. They tasted more like dessert than breakfast. Servive was great and prices were reasonable. The plce was packed, but we were seated quickly. Dont miss this place for breakfast!

The cafe is not that far off Hwy 99. Well worth the little drive. First thing you see is all of the cars and then all of the people enjoying their meals. I had the Chorizo scrambled, so good! The coffee kept coming and the staff were great. A place to go back too, because they have many menu items... More

This Bakersfield institution never disappoints, particularly for breakfast. The menu has a number of unique offerings with frequent specials. The scrambles are very good and the pumpkin pancakes deserve the praise heaped on them in the recent Triple D segment. The atmosphere is a step back in time and the service is excellent.

24th Street Cafe is always great, whatever you order is top-notch, they are always adding new and delicious dishes to their breakfast and lunch menu...but the great thing is you can order breakfast all the way till closing at 2:30pm. Recently I have been hooked on the Pumpkin Pancakes with Pecan Butter Topping, Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives... More

Neat little lunch place in Bakersfield. Lots of sandwich choices for $ 10 or $ 11 including a small salad and fries, cole slaw or fruit. Definitely a place known to locals; several tables of co-workers enjoying a Thursday lunch. A bit off Highway 99, but worth it if you want to avoid the standard chain/franchise diners and coffee shops... More
