A Bako institution.....Great food, great atmosphere, can be a wait, parking at times is tough. Impeccably clean...This is the anti Zingo's. Not your bargain diner, but what the hell....And beer!

Greatly expanded menu beyond typical coffee shop very well prepared with gourmet treatment for some items. Sister café to Milt's Coffee Shop owned and operated by same family except Milt's is open for dinner and 24th is breakfast and lunch only if you can get in during prime times.

Good good. Great staff. This place is very popular with good reason. It gets very busy for lunch and on weekends so pick your time wisely.

Between homemade jams, the asparagus and smoked cheese omelet, great old fashioned diner atmosphere, you won't go wrong here. It really is that good! I go there often and always take out of towners

This local favorite is well with any wait you might encounter! Owned by the same folks who run Milts, both places delivers quality home style meals with gourmet standards in an authentic vintage diner environment. -it's kind of like if Our collective Moms went to culinary school, this is what they would serve up! -always a yummmmmm from me!

This is a great family resturant, The portions are large, and the food is good. Breakfast is a specialty. On weekends, you may have to wait to get a seat, and Lunch, go early. Parking can be a problem, and is on a busy street.

Everything here is really good . There is so much on the menu you have to try. This is s very popular spot so plan accordingly for the wait. Quality of ingredients are what really makes it. You can't miss going here for a meal. You can even try Bakersfield's own Bowen's Whiskey here!
