Food is ok, many eat there. Service is average not great. Could use some remodeling. Not one of our favorite spots to dine.

I have made the naïve mistake of eating at this place twice. Once for a predictable unremarkable breakfast. Second, coming back for lunch was the wrong move. The menu actually looks great with a number of favorites that all sound desirable. Despite these classics and winning descriptions it's the actual preparation of the food and the quality of the food... More

Picked this diner because of the good reviews, we arrived and had a short wait, staff were friendly and courteous and the diner was nice, but it went downhill from there. As it was almost 12:30 we opted for lunch and we all had burgers, and I have to say these were the worst burgers and fries I've had in... More

So we went to 24th street cafe because of the reviews and the restaurant was just fine in my book. I just cant give it the amazing incredible fantastic reviews I have read already. They do have some pretty cool stuff though. They make their own peanut butter, they have lots of vegetarian options and even have soyriso. The service... More

After moving to Bakersfield, I read reviews for some "in the neighborhood" places and both me and my fella were so happy we tried out 24th Steet Café. It's just a small diner but what a feel to the place, simply it still feels down home like a diner. But the menu is so much more than simple diner food.... More

Came here for a brunch after reading many reviews. We had to wait to be sitted but that was already expected, as we were told so in all the reviews we read. Believe me when I tell you it is worth the wait ! I had the sun dried tomato , pancetta and brie scramble. It was to die for!!... More

Great specials. For breakfast try crepes with fresh berries, raspberries, blueberries, and black berries. I also tired the chicken fried steak and eggs. The price for this incredible food is inexpensive. You can also get a Bloody Mary or Mimosa. If you like. Great find here in Bakersfield. I will be back!!!
