This place is amazing! Full of local history and pictures everywhere. I have lived in Kern County for 28 years and never had a meal here. I didn't realize what I was missing. Had the Clams linguine. It was the best I every had. There is a deli next door so we bought more frozen pasta dishes that were just... More

Luigi's showcases the history of Bakersfield & Kern County with a photo library throughout the place. It has both indoor and patio seating. They even have a deli to purchase things you just ate. Nice piece of history with good food.

This is a great family restaurant with a whole lot of history displayed on the walls. We were very impressed with the simple, no-nonsense food we were served. We ordered a sandwich and pasta and that's what we got. Good portion, no sides. Thankfully! I wish there were more options for people who don't eat beef, though. But that's the... More

My only complaint is they are not open for dinner. Love this place. Can be hard to park but it's worth it. This is my go to lunch spot when I have time to cross town. Everyone should eat here at least once.

Luigi's is the best place to spend a Saturday! Grab a bottle of wine, sit back and enjoy the Cambozola Cheese and sundried tomato pesto, a Giovanna Salad or the absolute best Pastrami Sandwich ever! Ask for Cambozola cheese on it...to die for! The patio is quaint and relaxing. And there is always fun stuff in the wine shop...

I always visit when I am in town-sometimes more than once on any visit. The food is so delicious. Open at 11am for lunch. You need to be there a little before to get seated. There is always a line waiting because everyone loves Luigi's.

Luigi's is the absolute best place to have lunch! Everyday they have a special. Thursdays they have the best french dip ever. Friday and Saturday are hands down the best days to go there. They offer a New York with their own special seasoning that includes white pasta with garlic, butter and parsley. In addition, they have a variety of... More

I'm thinking most of the locals don't know about this place. Or perhaps they think it's 'too out of the way'. One thing for sure, get there either or wait an hour to get seated. Not because it's small, because it isn't. That's how popular this place is. Daily specials to die for.

Love the food. Love the Deli. I always plan to get there early. Not only to get a table but also to get a parking place. I love the NY Steaks. The Pastrami Sandwiches, Ribs... pretty much anything is amazing. Make sure to ask what they have that day that is off the menu. Sometimes they have Chicken Piccatta and... More
