This is my favorite restaurant. The food is always fresh, hot and tastes great. Even though the name is Cafe Med, the menu is varied. The portions are huge -- so I usually split a meal. Excellent osso bucco, and a variety of fine tapas. It looks pretty unassuming in a little strip mall, but there's no questioning the food. Perhaps pricey for Bakersfield, but this would be a real steal at home. $15 corkage is a definite plus. Recommended. more
We went to Cafe Med with reservations on a Friday night. Our talbe was ot ready and we went to the bar. We waited over an hour an da friednly nice couple was getting seated befre us (we had been disussing the delay) and they asked us if we would like to join them...which we did.
