Noriega's Basque Restaurant

We wanted to have Basque food for dinner. Our friends took us to Noriega's. From the outside, it looked a little dumpy but once we were inside, it all changed. We were seated in the banquet hall and because it was late, we were the only ones eating. The server brought out cabbage soup and pinto... read more

We have been here twice before and food here is just like home. More than enough food to eat. If you like to play handball there is a handball court in the back. You can also order a drink while waiting to be seated.

I visited Noriega's for the 3rd time on March 31st 2015. I been wanting to take my family for a while now, I brag and brag about this great restaurant, that the experience turn out so horrible. We got there and waited till it was time then, once seating took place, they had put us to the end of the... More

This is an old hotel in a less than desirable area but the food and atmosphere more than make up for it. Dinner is served family style at one sitting in the evening and is traditional Basque. Service is always spot on and the ability to meet new people is easy with the long table style seating. Make reservations as... More

Love this place. It is small but has a large banquet room. Our class reunion was held here. The food was great, and you get to try different things since it is served family style. It is one one the few place places the I will eat the pickled tongue, since it is so tender.

This is a special place, breakfast, lunch, or dinner it is so unique. Just flat out fun, a dinning experience you will never forget. Food quality is average, but it's the experience that's off the wall. This is an experience you will always remember.

A single seating, family style restaurant set in a large hall. Meals are served course by course and the menu is pre set and served family style. Not only good food but a really nice experience. I highly suggest you try this wonderful place!

New Year's Eve dinner with my family at Noriega's was fantastic. It's all served family style & we happened to be seated next to the owners family. We heard stories of restaurant ownership through the years. The food that night was lamb stew & prime rib, along with the best Basque set up in Bakersfield. Outstanding!

Tradition, tradition, tradition. Give yourself enough time to sit in the bar, look at the history of the basque culture. Try a Moscow Mule to drink in the copper cup. Enjoy family style dining. Talk to the people sitting next to you and soak up the culture/ invironment . Great food too
