More than just the food

This place greatly depends on the people you share the experience with. The food is fine, more than you could possibly eat or drink, but it's the "dining experience" that counts. Surround yourself at the big tables with people that drove from LA or Fresno and elbow up and enjoy. Come early, gather... read more

Not really happy when we made reservations, had people drive over 100 miles to meet us there and they announce at the door they are closed for a private party.

Been coming for years. I love Basque food. Passing and sharing with people you dent know is the best icebreaker ever. You have to respect anyplace that can state we have one entre tonight eat it or don't and have a line out the block. The Breakfast is amazing if you have never tried it. A $ 22 meal from... More

It appears after eating lunch this week, they are resting on their past reputation. Lunch was mediocre at best. Set was on table when seated. No big deal but clam chowder soup and beans had cooled off and were just lukewarm. Yuk! Late on blue cheese and a very small piece for our table. The baked Cod was the best,... More

It is so unusual, basque food family style. Dinner starts at I believe 7:00. Long tables, your group together next to the next group or family. They bring out course after course. Always 2 meats. Pickled tongue! Beans, you add salsa too, spag, salad, bread, Can't think of all, plus your group gets a bottle of wine! Where do you... More

I have been frequenting the Noriega since 1974. I have never had a meal that was less than excellent, nor have I had any experience whatsoever that was less than great. Family owned, family run. When you are seated at their table, you become part of their family. Superlative comes to mind.

This restaurant reminds one of the old rooming houses where the tenants all sat together at long tables. Here whether you are one two or 20, you are seated at long tables with others you may not know ,but at Noriega's no one is a stranger when it comes to their delicious food. They serve their menu is determined to... More

Not much to look at from the outside, and not the best neighborhood. But. Everyone in town know that for a good old fashioned Basque style meal, this is the place to go. An all you can eat Pre-Fix meal. Lunch $17 Dinner $20 worth every penny.

Had dinner here. A lot of Basque food, but nothing to rave about. Beef stew on Sunday was tough. Soup was acceptable but not great. Wine was watered down and wait staff was so so. Snotty answer when I asked a question. Would rather go to Pyranees.

We wanted to have Basque food for dinner. Our friends took us to Noriega's. From the outside, it looked a little dumpy but once we were inside, it all changed. We were seated in the banquet hall and because it was late, we were the only ones eating. The server brought out cabbage soup and pinto beans...we had seconds on... More
