What does KC have? Hostess, Cocktail waitress, Waitress, Waitress trainee. Leather couches and some lighting. Felt a movie set from the 1950s. If you like this decor - come on down! Everyone's food was cooked as requested. No worries - you won't leave hungry, but you may be starved for fresh air or daylight.

KC's is great for steaks and off the menu specials. Ask to sit away from the bar unless you like music in your ear. The cowboy potatoes are great but the baked is nice as an addition to the steak. You may not think of escargot in Bakersfield but it isnt bad here. I enjoy the ribeye or new york.... More

You gotta love rollin' old school at KC's! The menu you totally expect (and want) from a steakhouse, with a little sumpin' sumpin' extra for those if us who prefer seafood. The ginger dressing on the ahi salad (I don't think it's on the menu currently) was amazing and my mom raves over the filet, best in town according to... More

Hard to find a parking place, but the food is very good. And check the green pages in the phone book for a coupon.

I feel I can tastes the love and background of the chef. Not everything in to die for but they had dished like the calamari, the fresh beans and salsa, the new york strip, the coconut shrimp. And any fish! They have good homestyle recipes. I especially love the wine selection, wild horse pinot noir yum!

The steak didn't taste like it was from a steakhouse. The decor is like a flashback to the 70's, but it was very clean. Price was a little high for lunch.

"not a lot of good steakhouses in Bakersfield" is a reason to come to this venue. It's one of the better ones in town, but it is no Mastro's, Flemming's or Ruth Chris's.

I had the bone-in riveter special. It's 20 ounces, so I'm bringing some home with me. Neither of my drinks were ever empty, and I do like the uniforms ;-) The decor is tired, but not inappropriate to the place. The patrons ranged from 20-somethings to retirees. The music was mostly 80's, a mix of danceable rock and country. I... More
