We went with two friends for a afternoon snack. The ambience was lovely, the staff were really helpful and friendly. However the prices were prohibitive. Lovely food but oh my you would need a second mortgage to eat there with a family.

Family were keen to try out the 'famous' pie shop, so I said I'd pop in and take some home. Not wanting to disappoint I paid £20 for 4 takeaway pies. I couldn't objectively say how good or bad they were, as the overpowering flavour I experienced was that of being ripped off, good and proper.

We've lunched in here several times over the years and I'm glad to say that from our recent visit the standard is as good as ever. Nice food, well served in OK surroundings, thoroughly recommended.

Made a special trip up from ullapool with friends who have been here before. It lived up to all expectations. I can heartily recommend the Chorizo and manchego pie. It becomes a bit expensive when bought as a meal i.e.with mash, peas & gravy but absolutely scrummy.

We rented out the entire restaurant for an evening supper the day after our wedding, and we had lots of happy guests. Ian and his staff were lovely and very accommodating and we all had a great time. The pies were outstanding, and most people came back the following day to sample other flavours. The side dishes of mashed potato... More

First of many visits of 2015 and up to its usual standards. I can never resist the chicken and ham pie with tasty mash and salad. Too full for sweet but opted for a carryout one for later. No doubt will be back for breakfast tomorrow with their delightful hot chocolate. Thanks for the warm Lochinver welcome from Ian and... More

It's all about the pies! Beautiful flaky pastry with rich tasty thick fillings -no soggy bottoms. Never pass through Lochinver without picking one up. Sat in the restaurant for the first time recently (usually get take-away pies). Discovered that the pies are served with the most fantastic gravy -can recommend the venison and cranberry!
