Stopped off for a cuppa, £20!!! for 2 cups of tea, one cup of coffee and 2 pieces of cake!! Where in the world do they get their prices from? £6.50 for a slice of cheesecake! Scottish tourism at it's finest....in how to rip off tourists!! I do hope the young, disinterested waitresses are making more than minimum wage to... More

Visited for some take away pies to fuel us for the 16 hour drive home! Pies we delicious...worth the price. Service wasn't great and we were quite rushed despite it not being busy. Was going to have a cake but the server didn't want to explain what they were (no labels and all looked quite generic) so I left it... More

We have been visiting the are for the last 7 years and always make trip to the larder. The pies are great and have always had good service there - totally recommend the place, but generally get a take away pie and go and sit on a hill and get a view whilst we munch.

My wife, 6 year son and I visited the Lochinver Larder at the end of the Highland Games in early August. We arrived around 5pm and as we walked in we noticed that there were about 8 tables free, 6 of which had resrved notices on them and 2 were free. There were a couple of tables occupied but no... We arrived at the restaurant about 3.30 looking for some lovely pies we had heard so much about. We waited about 5 mins before someone came to talk to us. They were busy but there were plenty tables still available. We were told that there would be a wait and even then we would have to sit at separate tables. (There... More

My partner and I travel to Lochinver every year and consume far too many pies everytime... We also end up taking orders home for friends and family. Delicious! Always tempted to get some delivered because they are so great! Lovely staff, wonderful food in a beautiful village. What more could you ask for?

Very good pies. Good value. The pies are very well served with vegetables and potatoes. The desert are good but a bit expensive.

Such a fantastic place to eat! They have a massive variety to chose from, including a choice of 14 homemade pies. Everyone is welcoming and friendly from the moment you walk in the door. You can't visit Lochinver without a visit to the famous Lochinver larder, pie heaven!

The food is reasonable, not great, not bad. The staff could do with some training. Over hyped and over priced.

Was introduced to this restaurant whilst attending the Highland Games. The range of different pies on offer is quite something. Sampled a couple of pies; chicken and chorizo and haggis neaps and tatties, both fantastic. Even purchased another 6 to take back to Edinburgh! Additionally you have the puddings... they look and taste awesome! For those who aren't keen on... More
