Wonderful dinner, service could be improved

The dinner was absolutely delicious. The fish & chips were the best in the village, and the crab cake was superb. Their twice-baked hand-cut chips were a big hit with our 2 kids. The only problem was the verrrrrrrry slow service! To be fair, there was a party of 9 taking up a lot of attention... read more

A welcoming informal atmosphere with excellent food. We had the tapas style dishes and they were all delicious. The scallops and smoked haddock were superb.

Ate out here last week and have to say the lack of communication was evident between staff. My fiance and i didn't book a table which was fair enough. We expected to wait along with everyone else. However people came in off the street after we had made a point of saying we would wait for a table to be... More

We ate here on the last might of our highland touring holiday and it was a really great ending to our trip. A cosy pub/bistro atmosphere. We loved the 'tapas' style menu with smaller portions so that we could try all our favourite foods; scallops, crab and langoustines. The food was delicious and service attentive. A really good place to... More

We were in Assynt for a small family gathering & popped in here for drinks & to relax after climbing Stac Pollaidh and they were writing up the menu for dinner. I was impressed by the items - they seemed of a better caliber than usual pub fare & it was only later I realised that it belongs to the... More

Had a very nice meal at this pub on a recent tour of Scotland. Food was freshly cooked and was of a good quality. Ale and whisky range were also good.

Friendly and helpful staff, and very nice food. I don't eat fish or seafood and so the menu was limited for me, but the venison burger with chips - a big plate meal was my choice, and I was very happy with it - excellent meaty burger. Our waitress recommended the Brownie with chocolate ice cream for desert - an... More

We arrived a little early for food, but were made very welcome and it was no hardship to enjoy a drink in front of an open fire looking out on a lovely view. We all opted for fish and chips, which arrived very promptly and were fresh, hot and delicious!! Very good value for money, lovely atmosphere and a warm... More
