Loved the 'Small Plates' menu with the emphasis on local produce. The pudding (Chocolate Tart) was gorgeous, but more than one option needed (eg not everyone can eat chocolate).

We had dined here a number of times over the years, but now the Caberfeidh is under new management. Dinner is more 'Tapas' style with small plates rather than the previous 'meal' plates. On our visit, we had the last portion of one 'special' and in the next 20 minutes, we overheard another two running out. Bread & olives was... More

Popped in her for lunch and found a wonderful fresh local seafood menu. Really lucky it get a table as it was really busy. The crab salad was beautiful. The place has a great atmosphere. It's unassuming from the outside, but inside is really welcoming and the bar at the back is vey cosy

In a warm publike atmosphere although we hadn't booked and there seemed to be no room left we were given a table where the service was efficient and the seafood delicious.

I have eaten here a number of times over recent years. I always find the food excellent, well presented and a lot is local produce. Staff are very friendly and helpful and smartly dressed. So much better than a certain over-rated place with Mitchelin stars not far away. Save your money and come here.

This is the nearest you'll get to a good English country pub and is run by a charming English couple, Simon and Jen. The meals are superb and the friendly service is very efficient. Local fish is always on the menu and the meat is first class. Real ale is always available and the wines are never disappointing.

Whilst staying in Lochinver for 5 nights we ate here twice i.e. Sun 8th & Weds 11th September (my birthday!) and enjoyed the food & ambiance on both occasions. Friendly service by owner/manager & her staff. We both had fish on each visit which was delicious and well presented. We particularly liked the fact that The Caberfeidh is a restaurant... More

We both ordered the duck breast served with potato dauphinois and green beans wrapped in smokey bacon from the specials board. It was superb, as well as the portions generous. Very good value. It was a Wednesday night at a normally quiet time of year, yet the place was almost full. The sticky toffee pudding was very good, too.

The three of us turned up on a quite October, aged 24, 50 and 54. When we were surprised at our 24 year old was challenged to provide proof of ID?! This was not what we expected, neither was it practical. How many people carry ID on them when walking on the Hills. Not really appreciated. The legal age is... More
