Great beer in a rustic and homely setting

We were staying locally on a hiking holiday and popped in for a couple of pints on a cold January evening. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly barmaid as well as the log-burner, roaring away in the snug bar room. Small bar / restaurant in middle of village. Visited in off peak season in the evening and was fairly busy. Menu selection was very good, had choice of 5 large plates and about 10 small plates, all which were locally sourced fish, meat , cheese dishes and sounded appetising. We sampled 4 small dishes which were all great and quickly... More

The food was really really good, though a little slow in service which i suppose is to be expected as it is quite small and the place was busy for games, i dont expect it... More

We arrived early (dinner not served until 6pm) but we were invited to sit in the dining room and have a drink. The room looks out over the water which was great for watching the sunset. There was a fire in the woodstove and two lovely dogs lounging in the pub (I'm a big fan of dogs in pubs!) The... More

If you ever had any doubts about the provenance of the food you eat then The Caberfeidh will instantly quash them! Situated on the waters edge overlooking the stunning bay in Lochinver, we enjoyed a fabulous meal in the knowledge that everything we ate was fresh, locally caught and landed that day. We really liked their tapas style concept. It's... More

Came here for dinner tonight excited for the food, and it did not disappoint. New on the menu was a seafood tagliatelle and it was beautiful. My friend had the smoked haddock dish which was also superb! Would definitely recommend and definitely will be back!
