Limited menu but great food.

Before I go any further, I must point out that I have nothing but respect for a chef who limits his/her menu to a) what they can get locally and b) make sure the do a really good job of what they offer. The menu is written on the wall, why print it when it changes daily?! The menu was... read more

Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere here. Popped in a few times for refreshments (excellent cask Skye ale) and back on Thursday for a meal & music night. Cosy in the front bar & good craic. Food was superb. Huge bowl of really tasty soup followed by 4 small plates + chips. Couldn't be faulted. Reasonably priced. Equally impressive, how many... More

Visited here on a cold, wet Scottish May evening. Greeted by a lovely, roasting log burning stove, already happy! Menu is a choice of a few mainly fish based tapas style dishes and a couple of larger dishes. I chose the large haddock and chips. Delicious; meaty boneless fish covered in a light, crispy batter (i.e. not-soggy!!), crispy chips and... More

We ate here 2 of our 3 nights in Lochinver. It serves tapas type dishes so you can eat as much or as little as you want. The food is of excellent quality and seafood so fresh. Can highly recommend the smoked haddock with bashed potatoes, Tain truckle cheese and topped with a poached egg. Mouthwatering!! Good friendly service on... More

This is a lovely place to eat after a day exploring scenic Assynt. The service is excellent, prices very reasonable and - most importantly - the food is delicious and inventive.

This little pub sits in the main street of the lovely working fishing port of Lochinver and so is in a unique position for views and also for lovely fresh seafood. The pub has recently undergone major refurbishment and they have done a cracking job with log stoves and beautiful sea views. I found the pub to be quirky and... More

Thought this was 'just a small pub' until we ate there. The food is fresh, stylish modern Scottish food - and well presented. Good beers too!

Cozy pub on the road side, leading through to a dining room at the back. Love their take on food with the large and small plates reminiscent of tapas, but using brilliant local produce. We had three small plates between us but my husband found his smoked haddock on crushed mash more than enough. I loved the citrus cured scallops... More
