Stopped for lunch and the soup and sandwich was amazing. Beautiful home made soup and large doorstep sandwiches with plenty of filling. Great value for money and really friendly staff

We set out early for a stay in the Boarders and stopped off for a much needed break in Jedburgh, we went to the high street and found a great place called simply scottish, this was a very clean and welcoming cafe, standards were very high and decor pleasing. Food was prepared to order and very high quality. Would reccomend... More

Located at the end of the top end of the High Street, Simply scottish is a well established cafe/restaurant in the town. This is a place that serves simple non complicated food. Service I've found has always been friendly and efficient. On this occasion we were served with home made soup which was very home made and tasty. Sandwiches followed... More

The good: large portions and good choice The bad: no idea of customer service, dumped a pile of cutlery on the table loudly, would not have been so bad if the table had been wiped after the previous diners (or even fully cleared) and when our meals came the plates had old food stuck to the underside! Better places in... More

We stopped in Jedburgh for lunch and were glad we did. This is a small restaurant with friendly staff and great service. I had a Cajun chicken sandwich served with salad and crisps. It was delicious as was the fresh brown bread it was served on. The sandwich had a nice little bite to it just the way a Cajun... More

Travelling up to Edinburgh we stop for a break. My husband and I had a haggis bap and my daughter had the home made pancakes. The haggis was delicious and we would have it again. My daughter couldn't eat all her pancakes so we did help her, very nice.

Was visiting the area with my friend as I lived here about for 24 years. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a smiling young man who said hello and asked us to have a seat. Within a couple of minutes, he was chatting to us, had taken our order and had it ready in what seemed like 5 minutes! We... More

Visited here with the children when passing through Jedburgh and had a superb lunch. The children plumped for children's macaronis and a beef burger for we grown ups. The service was efficient without being too pushy and the food superb. Kept us going well until tea time.

As regular visitors to Jedburgh we had heard good things about Simply Scottish and as we found ourselves in the area yesterday we decided to treat ourselves to lunch. What a disappointment. When we arrived we were told by one of the waitresses to choose a table and that someone would be over to take our order. It was quite... More

Visited with a friend for lunch yesterday. Had been before and found it good - nothing fancy, but now I'm not only vegetarian but gluten free, life can get complicated. However, this was no problem. Ok my main course was baked potato, but had a choice of fillings, (though I yearn for their macaroni cheese, which was always wonderful!), and... More
