Spent a few days in Edinburgh on our vacation in UK. We stopped in Jedburgh for lunch on the way back to Manchester. Found this café on our search for food. As I was determined to have haggis before going back to Canada. Couldn't be happier to find this this nice café. It is a simple small size café with... More

Can thoroughly recommend this Jedburgh cafe. I had a delicious lunch of homemade beef burger topped with cheese and haggis, followed by a thick caramel ice cream shake. Quick service and served with a smile. Excellent.

I have been visiting Jedburgh for some years and noticed this cafe is always busy. Having eaten here twice this week I can heartily recommend it for homemade type dishes including wholesome soups, chunky chips and daily specials. Wine and beer is also served at reasonable prices. Staff are young and friendly. I loved my delicious mushroom soup, and on... More

Popped in for a coffee and a scone while visiting Jedburgh. Very clean inside and spotless toilets. Hot coffee and delicious homemade scones at very reasonable prices. Would be helpful for customers if they had "waitress service" notice as we, and other visitors, made the mistake of going to the counter to order only to be told to take a... More

We had a delicious snack at simply scottish. Proper homemade soup and a good cup of tea. Just the thing for a rainy day. The kids eyes about jumped out their heads when they saw the ice cream sundaes but funny enough they managed to finish them.

Stopped for lunch and the soup and sandwich was amazing. Beautiful home made soup and large doorstep sandwiches with plenty of filling. Great value for money and really friendly staff

Located at the end of the top end of the High Street, Simply scottish is a well established cafe/restaurant in the town. This is a place that serves simple non complicated food. Service I've found has always been friendly and efficient. On this occasion we were served with home made soup which was very home made and tasty. Sandwiches followed... More

The good: large portions and good choice The bad: no idea of customer service, dumped a pile of cutlery on the table loudly, would not have been so bad if the table had been wiped after the previous diners (or even fully cleared) and when our meals came the plates had old food stuck to the underside! Better places in... More

We stopped in Jedburgh for lunch and were glad we did. This is a small restaurant with friendly staff and great service. I had a Cajun chicken sandwich served with salad and crisps. It was delicious as was the fresh brown bread it was served on. The sandwich had a nice little bite to it just the way a Cajun... More
