Nice place to meet local people

Nice place to meet and see the local people. Quick even if slightly impersonal service. We did not eat much here, we had eaten too much seafood former days, so we decided on something simple. The Spanish Jamon de Belota is world famous so we took a big portion of that. Continued with fried... read more

I am a Chef de cuisine and owner of a reputed restaurant in Porto! I drove to Baiona with my wife and 2 friends along with my 4 months old puppy from porto to take a break and also to explore seafood cooking methods in Baiona. Once we reached Baiona, we tried to have lunch at several restaurants by the... More

I took my two teenage daughters to Barcelona for a short break. This was out favourite place by far. We sat and ate a fab Tapas here. We bought juices & fruit pots cheaply. We bought Parma ham, manchego, sweets & nuts. It is the most colourful & vibrant place to wander round. Truly fantastic.

I had the eggs Benedict, hollandaise was great. My daughter had the American breakfast which consisted of bacon, eggs and pancakes - bacon and eggs were good but pancakes were undercooked. Would have been very tasty if cooked through.

Wandering through Baiona one late afternoon we came across this little bar. Spanish food tends to be rather bland, or at least that was our experience up to this point. We ordered fried calamari, grilled vegetables, and veal loin, for 3 of us to share, along with a bottle of wine. The calamari was lightly breaded, not greasy at all,... More

We ate here three times during our recent stay and the food was always good. It's not a 'fine dining' experience but the food is honest and well cooked. The salad with fruit makes an excellent shared starter and, of course, zamburinas plancha and a bottle of albarino is a must. The pulpo a la plancha with prawns was excellent.... More

Scallops for lunch were tasty choice. Unfortunately I was alone, it would be nice to take few dishes and share. Good location and outdoor seating in little "piazza".
