Delicious fish soup and stuffed hake with seafood. Tried the cidra and was good but very different....well is Cantabria cider. My husband ate the clams and the steak of veal and was great as well as the Tocino del cielo dessert. The waiter was not very friendly. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere romantic.

We had dinner at this restaurant for one evening only. The place was cold (early May) and unheated, and when the food was cooked the smell from the open kitchen pervaded the seated area. Only one chef was present and he butchered and cooked all the food in full view, especially noticeable was the amount of salt he used in/on... More

The meal was well cooked with fresh ingredients of good quality. Service pleasant and quite rapid. A very nice bottle of Albariño was served at a good temperature. The portions were large and so we didn't have room for dessert. The price is higher than other restaurants but the quality justified the price in our opinion. The lighting is a... More

If you are in santillana del mar and you want an authentic paella, this is the place. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes and a beautiful steaming pot of paella will be brought to your table. We went for the seafood option. Washed down with a lovely bottle of local cantabrian white wine. Delightful.

Friendly staff and we ménage with our Spanish. Dinner was very good and you can see the preparing. There is an open kitchen. We had fish, Merluza, with a good withe wine.

Los Blasones provided probably the best meal I had on my recent trip around Spain - I didn't know that good old cod could be so melt-in-your-mouth tender; it was accompanied by exceptionally tasty croquettes and followed by an outstanding fig dessert. It was served in a lovely room by friendly-professional waitstaff, with an open kitchen that let you watch... More

Had the place to ourselves last night (Sundays are supposedly slow nights this time of year). Had a wide range of dishes and all were excellent. Huge portions that none if us could finish. Reasonable prices given the high quality of the food. Open kitchen where we could see the staff preparing our food. Our only wish: please dim the... More

Had the croquets and special sald followed by the dunk confit with port sauce. The food was well prepared and tasted superb. The wine was a rooks crianza which was priced well. I would definitely return.

I suspect that by the time we arrived in Santillana we were a bit spoiled. The meals were generally unremarkable. Or maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Service was great, wine was good, desserts, however, over the top.
