Excellent midweek dinner

The food & service at Alba are fantastic. We enjoyed some perfectly cooked scallops which included the roe served with a sweet pepper & tomato sauce followed by Monkfish in a sauce lightly flavoured with orange and Medallions of Beef Fillet, all of which was perfect. we had a lovely meal here on 30th April. We shared a bruschetta to start, and then I had delicious fillets of John Dory. (I. Can't remember the vegetable) and mashed potatoes. This was 23.95. My husband had tagliatelle with a sauce of Italian sausage and mushroom. He liked it very much. This was15.95. Three glasses of Nero d'Avola at... More

My wife and me like this place, we find the food and the service to be good and authentically Italian. This was our second visit, which will not be the last, on both ocassions we came away contented and well fed on a good night out.

Had a meal there last night, two couples. Nice atmosphere, staff good if a bit shortstaffed. No bread and dips for starters while looking at menu, this is what i expect in an italian restaurant. Main meal good but very sparce, sautee potatoes not cooked well, very hard. Main meals small for all four of us. Total bill 200 euro. Not... More

Dear Denis, After having a brief meeting with the staff we came to a conclusion: 1. You got the welcoming bread after your waitress took the order (sorry for the little delay). At your next visit please tell us that you can't wait for the bread to be eaten so that we will provide it to you promptly. 2. We've... More

A room with an inviting atmosphere. Excellent, friendly front-of-house service and authentic Italian food cooked beautifully. Nice wine by the glass. Good value and highly recommended.

On way home from rough ferry crossing we wanted tasty, light, real food and found this Restaurant on Trip Advisor. Well worth the stop. Helpful waitress, delicious food. Hubby said it was so authentic it seemed the chef was struggling with English. No problems with the cooking however. Came out comfortably full with a lovely taste in our mouths. Hubby,... More

Great service at the point of booking. Great starters Main was bad. Ordered monkfish wrapped in parma ham....well they brought two super small pieces of fish (less then a starter size) wrapped in Coppa...complained about both but got no where. Expecting something off the bill...we got 1 euro off the monkfish course for not being wrapped in parma ham. As... More

My wife and I visited Alba last night the food was sensational washed down with a beautiful bottle of Nero D'avola wine. I had Seafood Risotto and my wife had a tagliatelle dish with sausage and porcini mushroom both absolutely delicious. We will definatley be returning.
