We enjoyed an evening meal in this busy little taverna, where the staff made us feel most welcome and the home cooked food was very tasty. We would recommend the soups, which are a meal in themselves.

My husband and I sort of got talked in to sitting down. I don't really like when waiters are begging you to look at their menu (everywhere in nafplion!) but this older gentleman was so sweet and took us back to the kitchen to look at the food. I was sold once I saw the stuffed eggplants. My husband agreed... More

We joined our friends at this restaurant for our last night in Nafplion. While the restaurant boasts a large menu we only learned after we sat down that most of the items on the menu were unavailable. The greek salad we ordered was the smallest we have seen during our whole time in Greece. The fasolatha was so salty it... More

The food was just good. Nothing special. The service and the head waitor was rude and we felt like they did not want to do their job. It was one of my favourite restaurant but now i wont bother to go back again. Pitty..

My husband and I have been eating at the Fanaria for many years. The food is always very tasty, particularly the beef 'kokinisto'. Their red wine is of the best house wine we've tasted and the prices are very reasonable. Be sure to go and eat there the next time you are in Nafplio.

So whether you are seated outside or if you walk into this place with its small modest tables and chairs, you are probably thinking that this is nothing more than an unassuming Greek Taverna with nothing to impress. We went in around 3pm when the aroma of the fresh food cooking and it was amazing. The owner took us into... More

We chose this because they served rabbit stew; although there were too many onions. The couldn't understand that we wanted the chips with the meal and so it came as a starter. However, they did serve the best house rose.

We are avid users of trip advisor when selecting places to eat, stay and things to do. We did that tonight and the two places we selected were closed for the season. Fortunately, a grocery store owner guided us to Ta Fanaria. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table. We weren't disappointed from there... we... More

It is a typical greek taverna although whatever we ordered was cooked really well. The feta in the oven was really good and the french potatoes were so tasty. The location is nice but one waiter didn't say even hello but the other guy was really helpful.

We liked the atmosphere inside the place in cold weather. Good standard fare. Friendly service. They never recently had some of the dishes advertised outside that we liked in years past. The "barreled wine" ain't.
