We have visited this restaurant for dinner on several occasions now. The staff are very friendly and eager to ensure you are satisfied. The menu keeps to a small range of meals and the food is excellent. Starters can be quite large so be warned and the mains are also well portioned. The set menus are priced well and so... More

We stopped at Le Table Cathare for lunch this week and enjoyed every bite of our lunch. We ordered the plat du jour, with choice of salad, blanquette de veau, and creme caramel. Our salads were large, fresh, and beautifully presented. The blanquette de veau was delicious! The best we've ever had! We will go back again!

We had lunch here today with some friends who own a house in Fanjeaux. The four of us had a bottle of white wine (15 Euros) as an aperitif and then had 1/4 liter each of red that came with the 13 Euro menu, which was copious. A huge salad for a starter and then steak with fries and a... More

We ate here (6) and had some good fare. The food comes in rather large portions so go hungry, it was also full so be aware. It was not particularly cheap but I could not complain about either the quality or the choice, the cassoulet was something to behold so I urge you to try it out.

Really enjoyed our evening meal here. very friendly service and the place was full of locals enjoying themselves too. Took advantage of a Menu for 20Euros with a choice of dishes for the three courses. Enormous Salade Gourmande for a first course with foie gras, duck breast etc, perfectly cooked steak for my husband's main course. I had the house... More

We stopped at this restaurant en route from the airport at Carcassonne. Great value on 13 euro table d'hote menu, with a crisp fresh salad starter, chicken and ratatouille, desert and decent wine. Back to the standard of lunches we had come to expect in France but had rarely found of late. Friendly welcome adds to the view that this... More

As the title suggests this restaurant serves you with the largest cassoulet in the area and it is probably the best, it makes the others seem like childrens menu fare, so ensure you are hungry when you order this, in fact all the meals were very well proportioned and of a good quality. The service was good and friendly. I... More

We drove some distance to meet here for lunch with friends who had come even further. La Table Cathare - Chez Angel made our respective journeys worthwhile, as all four of us had a most enjoyable lunch. A wisely small menu of honest, traditional food well-cooked and presented and at a very reasonable price. Excellent selection of wines, too, and... More

We enjoyed a delicious dinner that was made with fresh, local ingredients. Our meas were tasty and the presentation was lovely. The service was very good and we had the opportunity meet the owner/chef, and his wife, who are a lovely couple that work hard to make your dining experience memorable and pleasant. I would come back again!
