Not on the main path...

We took a lovely stroll (about 1 mile though also accessible by car) through the woods to get to this lovely hideaway where we enjoyed a most delicious lunch of traditional Austrian cuisine. It is a bit off the beaten path which, in my opinion, makes this such a delightful place to visit. It is... read more

Our tour group had a fun evening at this restaurant that serves typical Tyrolean fare by a friendly English speaking staff. We were seated at long wooden tables and enjoyed the company of other guests along with music, song, dancing, and great food. I don't know if they always have music, song and dancing, but they always have great food.... More

Triendlsäge is a traditional Austrian restaurant, located just a 30 minutes walk from Seefeld and situated in the woods. It is worth visiting and you won’t be disappointed when you order a menu here. We choose the Kaiserschmarrn and it appeared to be the best ones we had ever had in Austria.. Outstanding ! We would highly recommend this restaurant... More

This restaurant is located at the junction of several local walks. As we only visit in the winter they are always snow covered and many are glad to get inside to warm up. We prefer to sit outside in our ski jackets even in the sub-zero temperatures. I find it too hot inside, a bit loud when busy and my... More

We stopped here for some warming drinks after several hours snowshoeing - we came directly down from the woods across the way. You enter into the warmth via a heavy curtain to keep in the heat. There are heavy wooden tables and chairs which make it all look cosy and inviting. It is quite a large area and very popular... More

We stumbled upon this place whilst on a winter walk in winter, though after returning for a second time I realised that it is both accessible by car and as part of a cross country skiing route. When I opened the door it was entering from the freezing outside cold to a world of tyrolean delight and comfort. Large wooden... More

Triendlsäge is a charming traditional Austrian restaurant, located in a small forest at a lovely creek. It’s a 30 minutes’ walk from the town center of Seefeld. You can also reach it by car and directly park at the restaurant. The cuisine is traditional Austrian. They serve ,Schnitzel, bread dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn (try it if you don’t know it), etc. The... More

Our family had two dishes, each for two persons, both of which had to be ordered at least one day ahead, one being Kalbshaxe (roasted veal's leg) and the other one Bauernbratl (roasted pork). The staff were quite busy that night, and because of that maybe a bit unattentive, not offering us drinks when placing us at a waiting table.... More

This is a lovely restaurant in a great location but the key draw is the authentic Tyrolean specialities that they offer. The list to too long to go through but please go and order any of their specialities - you won't be disappointed.
