We ate lunch at only one place in Hampi for our entire weeks stay, and it was mango tree. The food was divine and the staff were friendly! The mango lassi was the best I've had in all of India (yes, better than blue lassi in varanasi) and the paneer curries were simply incredible. Do yourself a favor and go... More

This is the only place we ate at when we were in Hampi as we did not feel the need to eat anywhere else. I had been to the restaurant earlier as well when it was on the banks of the Tungabhadra and it was just awesome back then as well. Every single item on the menu tastes awesome and... More

I loved this restaurant in the bazaar so much I ate there two days in a row. Its always rammed but the service is lightning fast. They do great pastas, and the coconut curry is delicious. I didn't see much else to compare to it in hampi.

If you are in Hampi you have got to seek this gem of a restaurant out. It's a little difficult to find however if you ask around you will get directions. The Mango Tree is a little Restaurant (Its really a shack) on the banks of a river. Its terraced stone that forms the seating area and you sit looking... More

Mango Tree is as awesome restaurant in Hampi situated just behind the famous Veerupaksha Temple there. Ask the locals. It is a clean place with every kind of cuisine listed on its menu card .Swift service. Good menu card. Decent prices. We had the South Indian thali that was tasty and filling. Also the Banofi tart. We visited this restaurant after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. I did go by the pictures posted and looked for the same close to the river, however on enquiring we were told that it's now moved closer to the temple. Asked around and reached it in to time. We were seated immediately. The menu choices are quite extensive for a... More

O.k. we were tired when we had dinner here, but the first impression was a lack of attended service. We ordered a bottle of water and a soda. It was served without glasses! The food was o.k., but nothing special, so we found it a little overpriced.

First n foremost this is not the Mango Tree that it was 3 yers ago n reviewed by Lonely Planet. That was fabulous with good river side views n open garden seating under lush trees. Unfortunately all that was demolished n the present Mango tree restaurant is a small joint in the middle of Hampi market next to Prince restaurant.... More
