Possibly my favorite thali in 10 months of travel in India. Order yourself a "Himachali Thali" and you will find yourself on an adventure of culinary excitement! Go there with your girlfriend or boyfriend, but make sure they order their own! Next to, and part of Moon Peak Espresso.

There's a reason their vegetable thali is so famous - absolutely delicious. Generous portion of several dishes, all with different flavours and textures, including a particularly good rice pudding. On my second visit, I tried a very tasty paneer dish and only had space for hot ginger lemon honey. The restaurant is clean and quiet, with professional and friendly staff.... More

The place is now closed, but the chef and his sous-chefs have now all moved to Moonpeak cafe. You can eat their fluffly omelettes or sit and meditate on the best espresso in India

Moonpeak Thali was one place in Dharamsala I wanted to visit because of Lonely Planet. I managed to enjoy a decent dinner with my husband on the second night I went to this restaurant. Although LP lists the opening hours as 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the first night the place shut down at a little before 9 p.m.... More

I have reviewed the coffee shop before, but wanted to write about the delicious Mediterranean sandwiches I so love. I also had the most amazing omelet there on my last day in McLeod Ganj. The atmosphere is great with good artwork on the walls and the service was perfect from Shyam Singh my waiter most days. I went every day... More

My wife and I had lunch at Moonpeak Thali. I missed seeing it but she spotted it. It's a small cafè and has about 5 tables. The menu is pretty neat. We ordered a ginger, lemon honey tea, a soup, a chicken Thali and an Niçoise omelette. The order came in within 15 minutes. My take on this place is... More

Ordered Thali (150rs). Arrived in 15 minutes. I expected a lot more after reading the reviews here but i was very disappointing. It's an average indian thali, with a 1/4 the amount of rice you get get in other places. Thali was good, the ingridients were fresh, but the quantity was an way too little. I usually don't stay hungry... More

We went for dinner to Moonpeak and really liked the Himachali Thali. The dal bori in spinach gravy was awesome. Completely worth the price. They close a little early though. If there arent enough customers, they go home by 8.30pm. So if you are keen, keep them informed that you are planning to come for dinner. The ambiance is nice... More

Just up the hill from Dali Lama temple....nice views and great photography inside. Amazing muesli fruit curd and friendly staff. Didn't try the thali restuarant next door but the cafe is a great place to relax and unwind.
