Great location Excellent seafood plater

Food was excellent , we arrived at about 1130am after Shark Cage diving, we had an early start so we were all hungry The seafood plater we had was excellent, two of us shared this and we also ordered a couple of breakfast's which was no trouble for the staff. Seafood with a couple of beers was a... read more

I always judge a restaurant by the bathroom, it was filthy, and the table cloth needed washing. The food was ok, but not great value for money. It's a tourist trap, if it wasn't for the location this place would be considered a dive. I had prawns, a few weren't even cooked properly, my mother had the seafood pasta, which... More

It is fun to just sit outside at Berthas and enjoy breakfast with a nice cup of coffee overlooking the Simonstown harbour. The price is very affordable and the food is nice, while the service during my visits has been friendly and with a smile.

We come to this place hopling for good food. Since the venue was right next to a fishing port we expected fresh fish and chips but we got I&J insted. We were deeply disapointed. The next disapointment is that we orderd wine and they gave us a compleatly difforent one.

Had breakfast one morning. Should have left but was with other people. Special advertised with coffee but the coffee machine is broken. Asked if they could provide filter coffee, this was done with a bad attitude. The food was presented in a sloppy manner, no pride. The staff were sullen and made us feel that they were doing us a... We went for a quick sundowner out on the deck on Saturday afternoon. Two other families were eating there. We got ourselves a table, we got ourselves menus and we would have fixed our drinks ourselves too, if we could. We had to go and call a waitron to announce ourselves. He was not overjoyed to see us, and could... More

we only had morning tea here, so it was fine. Wonderful location on the waterfront. One staff member was great, others not so good. They showed us to a table, then moved us to another, then moved us once more. Not a good start. However our waitress was great. Food was fine but would not rave about it. It just... More

Beautiful venue so i had high hopes. Food tasted great but portions are too small thus over priced and service really slow with lots of errors. Sauces brought after the food had been eaten. Need to jack it up.

We had lunch at Bertha's in April. The food is obviously pre-prepared (I overhead the waitress letting the table next to us know that the mushrooms for the burgers are all fried in bulk in the morning...) and it showed with my spatchcock chicken - took about 5 minutes to arrive and was very dry. And no garnish. Just soggy... More
