Awesome steak!

Haven't been here for a few months. I need to get back. I have always enjoyed my food. Service is awesome. If you haven't tried it you probably are not from here. Everyone here knows about Cattleman's.

I was hungry and exhausted. I was seated immediately and the server quickly appeared with some wonderful (and welcome) homemade bread. The menu offered a number of interesting options, including a number of healthy (but still satisfying) meals. There was also a wide selection of excellent beers, many of which were on available on tap. And there was no problem... More

The service was great, the portions where huge and the food was excellent. This establishment reminds me of the great steakhouses scatter throughout the southwest and expecially in Texas and Oklahoma in days gone by. The chains have become the mainstay but there are still a few of these locally owned and operated restaurants ( this one has been owned... More

On the road to South Texas, stopped for the night in Texarkana. Saw a few recommendations for Cattlemans, so we decided to give it a try. Wow! It's been a long time since we've had that kind of homemade food and that kind of attention from the server, manager and owner? Go hungry...they bring cornbread with the soup (delicious beef... Foodie friends had mentioned how good this this place was for a while. Finally got a chance to try it with my college freshman son on the way to Dallas from Little Rock. The food met all expectations. We ordered the 16 oz ribeye and the fried quail dinner and split them. Both were wonderful. Quail were very large and... More

A must to go to. More than enough food with each order. Staff is friendly and its service with a smile.

One of the more expensive meals we've had but by far the worst. Starting with $15 for oysters the size of a dime. Then canned clam chowder, precooked baked potato that was not even warm enough to melt soft butter, bagged fries. But worst disappointment was the tasteless meat with "au jus" gravy (that was made from jarred Bullion) ordered... More

This is our second visit to Texarkana. We liked Cattleman's on our first visit so we decided to eat there again. The food is good but nothing fancy. The prices are what you would expect at a nice restaurant. The dinners include soup, salad, corn bread, dinner rolls and potato. Very fast service and the place was full at 6:00... More

Restaurant smells of cigarette smoke. Waitress added 18% gratuity to each ticket. The waitress would of received a better tip if she had not added it on. Other patrons ran into restaurant saying someone pulled a gun on them in parking lot. The food was FABULOUS. I was able to cut my sirloin steak with a fork. Other in party... More

Very romantic atmosphere for you and your sweetie! Very good food and you leave very full. Food comes in courses, so you have the 5 star meal at a small restraurant. I have enjoyed my meal everytime we have gone. I love the atmosphere, food, and service.
