First of all I am surprised there is a Copelands in a town this small. I assume it is a franchise and not owned by the Copeland family. Unfortunately Texarkana pretty well shuts down and rolls up the streets on Sunday's. All museums and the better restaurants are all closed on Sunday's. I would have assumed it was our waiter's... My wife and I were delighted to find such a nice restaurant so close to our hotel and especially one that serves good Cajun style food. She chose a salad and a sampler plate of crab stuffed ravioli which was excellent. I had the Shrimp & Catfish Creole and loved it....just enough heat but not overpowering. But, I would have... More

The food was very disappointing. We had crab cakes which were pretty tasteless. The crab/corn bisque was not seasoned correctly. My slice of cheesecake cost $9.00 and if you had sauce on your cheesecake it was a $2.00 extra charge. You can get better cheesecake at Denny's with sauce for $3.99. I had a peach bellini and it was just... More

Would not recommend this to anyone. The food was not prepared well, over cooked and tough. The waiter/waitress were really busy doing not much of anything, especially taking care of their customers. We had a long wait, and there were empty tables everywhere.

We tried Copeland's because it was close to our hotel, TripAdvisor rated it #7, and the menu looked okay. The management and service was poor. The waiter greeted us and asked if we would like to start with a bottle of wine. After making our dinner selections we selected a bottle of wine. A short time later the bartender came... More

I love the food and drinks at Copeland's the crawfish pasta, battered eggplant, blacken catfish. The bloody mary's are wonderful for lunch. The food is good but they really need to improve upon the service and the speed in which you get your food.

Copeland's is convenient to the many hotel chains nearby the Texarkana Convention Center. We arrived on a quiet Sunday evening in late November. Copeland's touts a New Orleans style menu. Their menu selections favor deep fried foods with few healthier grilled options. We opted for the shrimp po-boy. The sandwich came buried in a sea of lettuce, tomato and bun... More

The service was good, and the shrimp Po Boy was excellent. I exchanged fries for red beans and rice. It isn't the liquidy kind, but I thought it was good. I had the bread pudding which was rich and not the usual preparation. After a long day traveling, it hit the spot.

I have eaten at this location once or twice a week for over a year. I enjoy the atmosphere and the food. The management is awful I received a punch card to use after receiving 10 meals, sometimes I would forget to show my punch card so shame on me. I had one that was full and I could receive... More

Soup was cool but tasted good. Problem was main course delivered to table before a 3rd spoonful of soup could be eaten. Steak was sold as one of their better steaks at $27 and would best to be described as a very thin minute steak to give it a semblane of tenderness. Potatoes indicated to be new potatoes with a...
