The old South restaurant has been around since I was a child in Russellville. They have a signature salad dressing that is awesome. If you like garlic. Lots of old-school comfort food.

The Old South Restaurant is a relic to Russellville. They have been here forever! They have many food choices on the menu to choose from. I especially love their Old South Dressing what they are famous for.

I love food and this place has been a favorite of mine for fifty years. I've never had a bad meal here. Their breakfast specials are perfect. We had some friends meet us there for breakfast and there were six in our party. Every order was perfect. Eggs, biscuits, gravy, muffins - everything! It was very well priced, too. I... More

When we travel through Arkansas, we ALWAYS stop at the Old South. From Pancakes to Steak, we have Never had a bad meal there. This visit I had pancakes and bacon. Both were perfect! Good coffee too! It's worth getting off the freeway to eat at this 1940s diner with birch and stainless bar! Note: we were told on this... More

Old South is an older diner in town, but it has the best Southern food around! Definitely home cooked food! Nothing frozen there! It is not a lot to look at on the outside, but the food and service makes up for that! Definitely a must try.

We visited Old South on a Sunday, the day before Labor Day, and they were closing early, at 2pm. It was four minutes before 2, and I didn’t even want to go in after seeing the sign, but my wife decided to ask anyway. We were welcomed with open arms, all eight of us, five adults and three children. There... More

Wanted the fried chicken, but they make it to order, so if you don't have 30-45 minutes to wait, call ahead. Had instead the grilled chicken which was tender and juicy, but was disappointed that I couldn't try the fried chicken. They did have chicken fried chicken, though. Twice baked potato good, mashed potatoes, good, meatloaf, rolls good, old south... More

Old South has a wonderful breakfast special. Two eggs, choice of meat, choice of hash browns or oatmeal, choice of bread, and sausage gravy, all for $5.49. Best coffee...They also have great omelets. In addition, they serve traditional lunch and dinner fare. Vintage diner from the 1940s. You'll most likely be greeted by the owner or his son.

This is a restaurant that has been in business for decades and is still a great eating place and a place where old friends still gather. Others come and go but Old South is a staple in this town. Good food always....friend chicken to club sandwiches to chef salads...just delightful

The food was good but the waitress was overtaxed and forgot a couple things. The prime rib was more done than was ordered but it was nice to have grilled catfish instead of fried/breaded!
