This landmark restaurant is unfortunately in a downhill slide. The restaurant is never truly clean, the wait staff (with a couple of exceptions) and cooks are constantly turning over so there is no consistency. We used to go every weekend for breakfast but after the last visit vowed "never again."

Bold roaches! One crawled onto the table & another crawled up my mother's back. DISGUSTING. We are filing a report with the health department! Never again!

Very long wait for food and my wife and I were one of only 3 other couples in the place. The first time I ate there back in 2010 it was laughable how poor the food was. This time was a bit better. Still serving the same frozen chicken patties, fries, breaded shrimp and delivery truck steaks as before, but... More

If you are in Russellville, AR you simply must go to the Old South restaurant and order the salad with the house dressing. Get extra house dressing. They make it fresh at the restaurant and you will find yourself spreading it on the crackers and eating the entire basket when your salad runs out. And the salad... it's amazing! It's... More

Old school breakfast and blue plate specials. Outside still has the 1950's roadside diner look inspite of being surrounded by business now. Only place I know where you can get fried bologna for breakfast.

The best part about our meal was the waitress. Ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were hard as rocks. The French dip sandwich was good and nice sized portion. Sticky floors and torn seats in the booths show they don't care. Nice sized menu and decent prices.

Since change of management and wait staff this isn't the Old South we've used to visit pretty regularly. Since the change over not so much. Food isn't as good, service not as friendly. . .just not the same.
