This is in a very pretty village setting, quite classy with proper tea pots and china cups, scrumptious cakes, sandwiches, scones and soup - all 100% homemade and good value. Particularly recommended is the magnificant gooey chocolate cake ! Seating is mainly out in the Vicarage garden, but with several covered or enclosed areas. Very pleasant atmosphere and with Sunday papers to read, you could sit there all day. Lucy's is located on the road from Rolleston towards Fiskerton, near the historic town of Newark in Nottinghamshire. Open Saturdays, Sundays & Bank holidays in the summer only.

Pleasant ambiance and outside seating

We stopped here for tea and pudding after a walk. We sat outside and everything was simply splendid. The tea was served in proper china and tea cups, and the trifle was brilliant! Nice big garden and very friendly service.

Visited this afternoon with my sister and nephew. This place is lovely. The whole feel of the place, decor, gardens etc. The staff were lovely, the food was lovely and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

I have visited Lucy's Vicarage Tearooms on a number of different occasions and each time it has been brilliant due to the food, peaceful location and friendly nature of the staff, which makes it that extra bit special! I have tried lots of different things on the menu, including cakes, scones and teas - orange blossom tea seems to have... More

Last few days of opening for the season so maybe slowing down. Had to beat a hasty retreat to the covered area which had, disappointingly, plastic table cloths. No warmth to this area. Some soft furnishings and a flower or two on the table would have made it more welcoming. Tea served in lovely China. Toasted brie sandwich was mediocre!... More

The service was excellent, the food was tasty, we had tea served how it should be and not in a mug. The only thing that was a thumbs down was the room in which we sat , was like a sunday school room, just needs some tweeks. (sorry)

Lucy's tea room is a very special place , a hidden gem in the Nottinghamshire countryside. In the sunshine you can enjoy the lovely garden and in less clement weather the converted barn/ coach house is very pretty all decorated in quirky traditional styling with a strong Cath Kidston influence. The food is delicious all extremely fresh and beautifully presented... More

Having cycled past on several occasions we decided to call for just a cup of coffee towards the tail end of an energetic ride.We were impressed with the setting(we sat in the courtyard) ,the welcome by the owners and then by the quality of the coffee. We also indulged in a plate of homemade cookies which were delicious. The menu looked very... Some of Lucy's jams were bought for me as a gift, and they were wonderful. My particular favourite was the Spiced Pear (even my friend visiting from France, despite saying that they wouldn't be as good as French jams, had to eat his words once he'd tasted this one...excuse the pun). But the Damson & Plum was wonderful too. They... More

Dropped in with my family for a late breakfast. We had a lovely pot of tea served in China cups and the most fantastic Hot Chocolate with cream and Marshmallows. I had a large plate of Beans on Toast and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his Scrambled Eggs and ham on toast. My daughter wanted a scone with cream but couldn't... More

Dropped in on passing. Wish we hadn't bothered. We both ordered tea and scones. I had fruit and my wife chose a plain one. Mine was a very tiny triangle of nothingness. My wife's was slightly bigger but looked dry and grey and tasted old. A minute portion of jam and cream was served with each. Although a pleasant environment... More
