Description: This is in a very pretty village setting, quite classy with proper tea pots and china cups, scrumptious cakes, sandwiches, scones and soup - all 100% homemade and good value. Particularly recommended is the magnificant gooey chocolate cake ! Seating is mainly out in the Vicarage garden, but with several covered or enclosed areas. Very pleasant atmosphere and with Sunday papers to read, you could sit there all day. Lucy and her team made the most wonderful buffet you could imagine. The food was very fresh and abundant. The huge variety of dishes including the most glorious sweets were all splendidly presented. The birthday cake was incredible, 3 tiers of fabulously decorated fruit cake. Lucy and her team were friendly and super efficient. I thoroughly recommend Lucy, she really... More

We are local and there are lots of excellent places in Notts for afternoon tea, however you will not find anywhere so quintessentially English or sumptuous than here. With options to relax indoors in the cosy tearoom, Vicarage courtyard or lawned gardens with gazebos and with friendly efficient service you have a choice of many teas, coffees, savoury and sweet... Simply lovely. If you are ever in the Southwell/Fiskerton/Rolleston/Newark area on a sunny Friday Saturday or Sunday morning in the Spring/Summer (closed September onwards) and want to chill in the lovely garden of the old vicarage with a choice of tea's and homemade cakes/ jams / or a salad/quiche etc, then seek out this hidden Gem. Simply wonderful. Tasty food,... More

A real treat and a fabulous find. We took afternoon tea in the gardens and received a warm welcome, friendly chat and attentive service. This is a splendid spot to enjoy a large range of homemade delights in peaceful surroundings. The 'Grand Afternoon Tea' is aptly named with a generous range of sumptuous homemade cakes, cookies, scones, jams - amazing... More

Lovely little tea room tucked away, so pleased we found this! Called in for a morning coffee treat, the owners are very friendly and attentive - really lovely gardens to sit and relax in - and absolutely gorgeous yummy cakes! Very well presented, extremely tasty and we just can't wait to go back!

Dear Esme22, Thank you for your review. The Chocolate Cake is yummy, 100% dark belgium chocolate goes into it and it is my own recipe, so I am glad you like it. My mum does all the gardening. I will look forward to welcoming you back. Lucy More

Called in with friends late on Saturday. What a jewel hidden away in the countryside. Beautiful tea room, fantastic food and the service with a smile was absolutely brilliant. A lovely restful place after a busy day and although we stayed past their closing time we were not rushed to leave. We will return again and again. PS. their chocolate... More

Dear SueR135_13, Nice picture! It was really fun meeting you and your team. There is no rush at the end of the day, we have lots to do. And we didn't want you to leave as you kept making us laugh. The brownies have been very popular, especially with my Dad. They might have to be a permanent dessert next... More

What a lovely surprise to find a super tea room in Rolleston of all places in Nottinghamshire. Home made jams and cakes with a very wide range of fruit and green teas made for a wonderful treat on a sunny Sunday. The home made chocolate and orange cake covered in dark chocolate was best I have ever had. Don't miss... More

We went here on Sunday as it had been recommended by a friend. As it was dull, cold and windy we sat inside. The room has obviously been partly renovated but was still a bit of a shambles. We ordered a sandwich, two slices of cake and coffees. The sandwich was pleasant but the salad was 'tired' and we never... More

Out and about on a bike ride with my missus and came across this little gem of a tea room. The most quite picturesque tea room. Lovely kept gardens, friendly helpful service, great selection of teas and cakes all home made. Home made jams and jellies made from home grown fruits. Turned up in all our cycling gear and made...
