Inventive food and great drinks

Abuelo's is not your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. The food different, but very good. I had the chili rellenos, one with beef and one with cheese, and my date had guacamole enchiladas with shrimp and both were outstanding. Wonderful food and great margaritas, surrounded by art in the style of of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo. I recommend the Enchiladas Cozumel.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious! The best part was the trio of salsas at the beginning of the meal!! Fresh!👍👍

I have been to this restaurant several times (always suggested by others). Food is over rated and over priced. The service is always excellent and the decor is pleasing.

This was our usual date night out. The service, food wait staff was wonderful. We would go back many times and the price was fair.

Varied menu with many choices. Can count on it to be good every time. Was there recently and was not disappointed.

Normally a short wait during peek hours, well worth it. The food is reasonably priced and very delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Alcoholic beverages are just a little pricey, but not unreasonable. I enjoyed the Salmon with a side of 3 jalapeño stuffed, bacon wrapped, grilled shrimp.! Very very good.

This is the only Mexican restaurant I have found that can make a Chili Relleno that is crispy on the outside and DELICIOUS. The service here is awesome and you can tell because it is always packed. The dining areas are always clean and the staff friendly. Make sure you try the sangria!

The dinner I had was OK, flavor was good. I didn't like the Thin chips, kept breaking apart. Bottom of the small serving bowl was a bunch of little bits n' pieces which led me to believe they served the chip useing the same container for several customers. The interior looked great, but the noise killed the atmosphere. I'm at... More

This is the second visit to Abuelo's and the last visit was 3-4 years ago. Went in right before closing. This is the way a restaurant should treat patrons. The food was very good, service was excellent and they met our expectations. It says that they are a Mexican Food Embassy. When I first saw that it seemed that they... More
