Authentic Mexican Cuisine for the whole family.

Ok it's a chain and one might argue not as good at smaller more traditional family run Mexican restaurants, but I beg to differ. Case in point, we had the Los Mejores De La Casa, Abuelo's best of the house Chef recommendations. Fire grilled bacon wrapped beef tenderloin medallions (ours ordered medium rare) and bacon wrapped plump shrimp stuffed with... More

Sunday lunch and I was promptly seated, with chips and a combo of 3 interesting and tasty salsas arriving within a few minutes. Two carnitas enchiladas with beans and rice (a simple lunch) arrived piping hot. Nothing special about beans and rice ... Everything was as expected, not more and not less. It's Sunday -- and with some time to... More

Abuelo's used to be my absolute favorite restaurant. I would go all the time. However, in the past year and a half, I have been disappointed time and time again. The food quality dropped dramatically. I think that there is no one showing the staff how customers should be treated. I hate saying this about Abuelo's because I used to... More

What a great place to get Mexican food in Bentonville! I've come to trust the reviews at Trip Advisor so much, that I didn't even need to think twice once I saw how highly ranked this place is. What's great about it is that you're not stuck with the same Mexican food you get everywhere else. Unique dishes set this... More

I've eaten at a lot of Mexican places and this one leaves something to be desired. The salsas, although multiple options, lack flavor and come in a tiny bowl. The menu is large, but pricey.

I ordered the fajitas with the spinach casserole. Sooooo delicious. The trio salsa was also very tasty with a mix of sweet and spicey. I would definitely go again.

Stopped in for late dinner. Almost empty on Thursday at 8:30 and sat at the bar. Good service by bartender though spent most of time "closing". Food was very good - had pork tenderloin special with chicken and beef enchilada. All items were very good.

This was my first experience at Abuelo's and I was a bit nervous about the quality of the food since I'm a bit of a Mexican food snob (grew up in SoCal). I was pleasantly surprised by the food (more along TexMex than traditional) and would definitely come back to eat here again. The service was a little slow, but... More
