Decent shawarma

We stopped here for takeaway shawarma to take back to the hotel. It was very tasty - the owner is obviously very proud of his food and cooked it fresh for us. We left him and went for drinks in the supermarket next door so didn't mind the wait.

I was welcomed into this hole in the wall venue by Hesham, the most generous, giving man you will ever meet. Inside I was served fresh, delicious Bedouin dishes that were prepared right before my eyes. I was then treated to a cheap and spectacular afternoon tour of some of the regions lesser known sights. It was all round a... More

This restaurant is relatively new but the head chef is well travelled and acquainted with modern restaurant service. We were given a little demonstration of his cooking in the kitchen, plus complimentary mint tea. We ordered traditional rice and meat dishes which were okay but nothing that can't be done in the home kitchen. Also hommous dip was literally out... More

Hesham, the owner. He not only cook for us amazing typical Bedouin food and fresh lemon with mint juices, but he also arrange for us a tour through out Petra by horses and getting to see the best views over the mountains from the architectural of Petra. The restaurant is a nice and quiet place to have some quick food... More

I came here based on tripadvisor and the fact that it's literally across the street from my hotel. This was a tiny restaurant (which is not a problem) with no customers. That should have been my first instinct to run. I came with my mom and we just ordered one dish (chicken drumstick with rice). They pulled the burnt chicken... More

My wife and I stayed at Al Rashid Hotel, straight across the road, for 3 nights and we made Bedouin's Quick Bite our place to eat each evening. We like to give the small places a go, and we really enjoyed our evenings sitting outside by the pavement and chatting with the owner - who doubles up as a tourist... More

The staff was very cheerful, but I had a bad foodie experience. Went to the restaurant for dinner and ordered a sharwarma and it took more than 20 minutes for the ordered to be served (and I was the only customer). Unlike a a typical shawarma this version had chicken chunks in bread, and it was burnt. Had to leave... More
