It is a nice place with traditional decoration, but unfortunately they have serious problems in service. We went there at Christmas day. The service wasn't quick. The quantity was smaller than before 2 years. The quality was terrible. There were raw pieces of meat and overbaked (almost burnt) vegetables in the same plate.

I got a great deal for a full dish of fries and chicken with salad and a glass of bear for 5 lev. Great cosy place with friendly, polite staff. Definitely recommended.

Excellent meals and prices about the average for Bansko taverns. I recommend trying the local specialties - kapama, chomlek and katino meze, which are very delicious and cooked by a local chef. A good choice of beer and wines. The only shortcoming is the toilet - there is no hot water and soap. But visit the tavern and you won't... More

Romantic traditional atmosphere, friendly staff and fast service, but what matters most here are the local specialties. Unlike other taverns in Bansko, here they're made at the moment (not with reservation) and I highly recommend chomlek and katino meze.

We had the last meal of our holiday at this restaurant and it was easily the best. Great menu, we chose the chicken curry and it was really nice and well cooked not at all like the one's in the UK. Friendly and pleasant service especially our waiter George who seemed keen to please and practice his English.

We received a very warm welcome from friendly staff. The waitress spoke English and gave us a table right next to an open log fire. There was a good choice of food. We would highly recommend the lamb on a spit, These guys know how to serve their meat! Portions were more than ample.

The food at this place is great - the chopska salata was delicious and kapama was very tasty. Good sized portions and good value - under 60 leva for two with alcohol. The service was pretty slow though and they put us on a bad table next to the door, but this was probably our fault for not booking as... More

out of all the Mehanas in Bankso, this one smelt the best when we walked past, probably because of the stunning BBQ outside. I had the Stroganoff both times we went and my husband had the BBQ skewered beef which I tried and wish I'd had. They also do delicious garlic bread to start which is very light.
