We had dinner for 4 in this warm, cosy "mehana" served by a professional and friendly waiter, Plamen. We had country salad, Greek salad, patatnik and chomlek as well as the fresh bread plus apple pie and strained yoghurt with blueberry jam for dessert. All was delicious and had the taste of hearty, home-made food. We found that the prices... More

No matter where you stay in Bansko, you should definitely visit this place. It is in the old town but if you are far away, you can call them and they will come and pick you up. When you finish your meal, they will also bring you back to your hotel. The service was good but what distinguishes this tavern... More

We called before and arranged for the restaurants shuttle bus to pick us up from our hotel which was free of charge and really handy as we wouldn't have been able to walk there. The decor was traditional and I really liked the atmosphere. Menu is vast and allergens are highlighted on the which was good for me as I... More

Patatnik is great as starter. The red wine renaissance, rubin is very smooth and easy to drink. İ prefer dj, rather than live music. The comlek is great if you like veal. Kapama is very authentic and worth trying. Biscouit cake is ok. Espresso is ok. İrish cafe is very strong

I ate here with my girlfriend and her parents, and we all left stuffed, satisfied, and happy. I had the lamb sach (I'm unsure of the spelling), and the rest had some grilled chicken and vegetables and some cheese-stuffed bread. The sach was creamy and tasty, and the bread was absolutely delicious. The server was also attentive and super friendly.... More

The food is not something special and it’s kinda expensive… But the worst part of all is the service! Really long time waiting for everything and after we finished our meal the waiter was in an obvious mood for a fight… We left him the tip of 1 lev and he told us that “he’s not a slave to accept... The food is very well presented, excellent quality and a little bit different from the standard Bulgarian local restaurant. You have lots of choices, meat and vegetarian. Smokers can sit at the entrance in a winter garden. Moderate music, very pleasant for an evening out. Nice decorations inside! For desert pancake with home made fig jam, really tasty, also the... A lovely local tavern situated in the Old Town and wonderfully decorated inside. The waiter recommended a local bread stuffed with cheese, which was so tasty. Our local dishes of Macedonia Cheese and Spicy Sausage were both excellent and were washed down with a rich bottle of Bulgarian red wine. You could see in to the kitchen, and they seemed... More
