It was good that we went a little early because there were quite a few waiting. It could be because it was family night.

We have several Mexican places in Mountain Home Ar. El Chico is part of a chain. It serves Tex Mex. Mexican food. I would sat that the food is just average good but not great. They do serve liquor. We do go there and have always found the service to be good and the food to be ok.

As a chain restaurant this is a good place to eat. I like their burrito bowl with chicken. Service is good. The manager is very attentive. They offer a nice area if you have a large party. Margaritas are really good.

If you like spicy Tex-Mex, this is the place to go. The chips and salsa or beef nachos are great. The enchilada plate with beef and cheese and onion enchiladas is super. You won't get any of the bland authentic Mexican food here. Wish it was closer to where I live.

Took my family here to meet friend for a get together. I have tried this place once before and did not like it. Anyway this time was not different. All the food taste the same. The staff act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Second and last time I will eat here. There are to many... More

We visited El Chico on Saturday evening with a group of 33 people. We had called ahead and let them know to expect us, and they had a room ready when we got there. We had two young men as servers who were both friendly and efficient. The food was superb and the atmosphere was just right. We also appreciated... More

A lovely lady from Hospice of the Ozarks greeted us outside of El Chico, informing us that if we mentioned we were supporting them, this El Chico establishment would donate 10% of our tab to their organization. Having personally experienced the benefits of hospice, we were only to happy to participate. This is part of their "Give Back Tuesday" program.... More

I'll start by saying that I was born and raised in Texas so I'm a little picky when it comes to tex-mex. My opinion is this particular el Chicos has really good food. The past couple years, they've introduced some really great food. The main thing about living this far north is lack of flavor and spice and el Chico... More
