Delicious seafood and super friendly service

Went here for dinner on a rainy night so not much of a view and the place was really brightly lit... but it was a great meal. Good cancato and excellent pulmay along with a good wine list. What made the night was probably the friendly service... i got the impression that we were served by the owner... read more

... to get one of four tables facing the sea in the upper floor as the view is beautiful. Apart from that the food is good but not exceptional while prices are above average for the portions you get. We ordered a Valle de Casablanca white wine to accompany our dinner, but the wine was not our cup of tea.... More

We liked everything about this restaurant starting with the fact that it was 20m from our hotel! The staff were more than welcoming, the upstairs dining-room attractive with great views and well-spaced tables, the food was superb, the wine list good and honestly priced. Go for the fish options - I ate more sea-urchins in one sitting than I ever... More

The most memorable thing about Sacho was the time it took. It took a long time to get our food and it took almost as long to pay the bill. The food itself was average. My wife had Congrio (Conger Eel) and said it was tough. As a vegetarian, I had a large plate of vegetables which I flavored with... More

We enjoyed the typical dish of the island - CURANTO - a wonderful combination of shellfish, fish, smoked meat and much more. A delight that you cannot say no.

The friendliest place. Always the best sea food. This time sea urchins, with lemon juice, cilantro and onions, toasted bread and a nice Chardonay. Favorite main dish is hadock and garlic fried potatoes. For dessert, Murta and quince.

Castro was one of our port stops on our Seabourn cruise. A nice town, but not much to it except for the town square/market area that sold the typical tourist stuff. The main restaurant in town seemed to be “Sacho” that offered a nice selection of homemade breads and pastries. The menu was in English, but it was still somewhat... More

El Sacho is located on Thompson st and although the outside looks quite unassuming, it is worth stepping inside. Skip the first floor and ask to be seated on the second floor, where large windows offer beautiful views on the sea and hills of the Rilan peninsula. The menu now comes in several languages (English and French as far as... More

Sacho has been going strong since 1971. It serves well cooked, plain food at reasonable prices in a room with a splendid view of Castro's bay and port. A steak ordered as medium covered the plate and was just right. It came with vegetables and cost CP7000 (less than £9). A large veal escalope stuffed with cheese and ham was... More

It certainly makes you wonder whether you've made a good choice when you have been sitting at your table for nearly 20-30 minutes and there's no sight of the food you have ordered. In this restaurant, I suggest you make the waiting more fun by trying to identify who the ·"famous ones" are, by taking a look at the set... More
