Casa mami is now primarily a Sapnish restaurant, serving also a handful of Dominican dishes such a goat stew. Unlike other reviewers that visited for lunch, we went there for dinner last night. The menu has a good variety of Spanish dishes such as paella, gazpacho, garlic soup, tortilla de papas, tapas, etc. Most items on the menu are priced... More

Recommended place for nice home made food, cooked daily menu, friendly atmosphere, cheap price, located next to the police station in the east side of Cabarete.

The lunch special is incredibly cheap but with gigantic portions and fabulous food. We have eaten there for dinner a few times as well, and it's even better. The owner is from Spain, and he makes a tasty paella! The octopus salad was also amazingly good, as was the calamari. The portions are more than ample too. Also, his home... More

Than, do not miss this place! It's a bit difficult to find it, but the taxi drivers will help you. Everything they cook is fresh & delicious - pork, chicken, lobster, fish, tapioca, you name it! And the sangria rocks tambien! :)

Casa Mami is THE place. Amazingly good dominican food, big portion and yet one of the cheapest place in town ! It's a tiny little open place and the owner is really nice. A must try ! (and try and try)

We visited Casa Mami after it was recommended to us by a friend who is a frequent visitor to Cabarete! Although the atmosphere is super casual, the food is excellent and the hosts are great! The shrimps were the best along with the flan. They have daily special which was also very good! Best Sangria we've had in a long... More

While I would like to keep this place as my little secret, it's too good not to share. This was one of my favourite places for dinner, especially from the 175 RD menu. Lots of food for a small price. I was never disappointed. It's a little hidden away, but worth it in my opinion.
