More a bake shop than a restaurant

When I visit Cabarete, I make a point of dropping by K's. As I seen another viewer mention he was disappointed, he must have had the wrong idea of the place. I found this like many places in the DR, if you want baked goods you have to go early or they run out, also this place will make to... read more

In a place where waiting for service is part of the experience, K's is a refreshing local option for grabbing a quick, no frills cup of coffee and/or baked good "to go." I found it by accident, but have since made a point of returning on a number of occasions. It's true what one of the reviewer's said about it... More

I was hugely disappointed with K’s after seeing it here on TripAdvisor – totally not what it seemed to be. First off, the picture here makes it seem like it has seating on the beach, which is not true. The entire shop is one tiny room right on the main road with a two-person table inside. The woman running the... More

Had their chocolate muffin! MMMMM MMMMM GOOD! Although I tried to go here more often, the hours of operation were kind of hit or miss. Some times it was open all day, sometime it was only open the the am, and others not open for a few days at a time. But if you do happen to catch it this... More

Great coffee and the shortbread cookies are my favorite. They are always happy to see you.

I went there because of a review some guy with no taste buds said it was the best. Its not the best and not that great.I tasted way better from the school lunch cafeteria.Just because she put it in the microwave the lady lost 5 cool points with me.The cinnamon roll is only custom made orders.I taught about it but i... The cinnamon rolls K makes on Sundays are worth the trip from Puerto Plata. But if you are in Cabarete already there is no reason not to drop in for a cookie or brownie, and no excuse for missine the cinnamon rolls if you are there on a Sunday.

K's is like a little slice of Canada nestled in the Caribbean. There's cakes, and Slurpees, and Iced Caps that are the best on the island. The owner, Kathy, is a Saskatchewan native, and there's always a canuck or two ready to share a story. A great place to stop by, especially if you're feeling a little homesick. And they're... More

My husband and I discovered K's Coffee Shop on a walk through downtown Cabarete. It's hard to miss being right in the middle of town. It's a smaller shop, but makes the most of it's space offering a wide selection of freshly baked from-scratch baked goodies. The cafe also offers fresh fruit smoothies (delicious), iced cappuccino better than Tim Horton's... More
