Going Dutch

The service was very good ,menu was good for Thai and European food with steaks pizza and ostrich on the menu. Plus a very good chewy chocolate brownie and icecream .used this restaurant for two trips so must be good.

Negatives: *Rib-eye steak resembled a schniztel, with sinews. *Way overpriced. Positives: *Staff supplied mosquito spirals. *Great ambiance. We ordered the two of the most expensive items (300 baht each) as we wanted to spoil ourselves for once. New Zealand pin rack of lamb, and a rib-eye steak (rare). What we received didn't come close to what the menu advertised though,... More

We chose the rib eye steak and were assured it was a proper beef steak. They actually even had 3 options: beef steak, rib eye (300baht) and T-bone(350baht) and asked us if we wanted rare, medium or well done. All very promising! The food however, was a big dissapointment. It for sure wasn't a rib eye steak. Actually, I don't... More

Great food, great prices and very good service. We ate here during one of the street closure walks and the atmosphere was so fun. This was one of the best restaurant meals we had while in Thailand - huge servings so we left quite a bit on the plate, unfortunately.

I lived in Ranong for a little over a year and ate here at least twice a week. The staff were great, the food was good, the beer was cold and the pool is free. Literally, what more do you need? My friends and I were there so frequently that the wait staff started guessing our orders before we sat... More

The restaurant has a lovely setting, and it's got one of the nicest atmosphere in town. They made a nice, not great, Thai green curry, and there was friendly service. Looking at the other reviews it appears most people come here for Western food (seriously, in Thailand?!), which explains the prices. It is more expensive than other places (95 Baht... More

Ate here several times as I was caught up in Ranong for a few days and staying just next door. They do a great pad Thai, decent cashew chicken and the sandwiches are all good choices. Breakfast is above average and generously portioned. All around good value for your money. Also have a free billiard table and big screen frequently... More

A few years ago I discovered the place and liked it a lot. A few days ago I came back and ordered my food, and I was so much disappointed. As a welcome present, they serve a free salad, which is topped with mayonnaise which I don't like, but that's just my taste. I ordered a Cesar salad: a disaster.... More

'Supons' Hideaway youfind at one of the best locations in Ranong, even on hot days relatively airy, laid back from the main road, and having a nice view in most directions. However, the food isn't what it used to be years ago, and the service is not any better (if not even worse) than at any street stall. Reasons are... More
