Great Sausages, Nice Breakfast

For me Bag of Beans is all about breakfast and that is what I go there for. I believe it is owned by a Filipina and her British husband and although the breakfast is very American rather than English, the highlight for me is the sausage, which is much more like the British banger than our sausages... read more

Had a romantic late afternoon snack post valentine's date with my sweetheart. We both love the ambiance especially during that time where we witnessed a wedding proposal with matching romantic music in the background. The house blend coffee was great and we really enjoyed the cheese steak sandwich.

Have been a regular client of bag of beans ever since and the place never fails to amuse from. From its humble beginnings of just serving coffee and pastries, it has now evolved into fine dining. Apple pie remains the best. One of its outlets is along the Tagaytay rotunda but it is still best to visit its original place... More

They serve good coffee. I love their breads - raisin bread, pan de coco and also their signature shepherd's pie

May 22, 2015 I received a call today from Donna Marie of Astoria Hotel along Escriva Drive, Pasig. She is a fast talker - only because she tries to evade crucial questions about the hotel's offer for a dinner tonite for FREE in exchange for a sales presentation they will do for 90mins. I mean, is Bag of Beans consenting... More

Many restaurants I have eaten at end up being a one time event. Only a few become a tradition. Bag of Beans is the latter. Their food is great. Not the fastest service but I can overlook that aspect. Either of their two Tagaytay locations are worth your time to visit.

Loved the place. Amazing deserts with a lovely coffee. Service was very average, as we had to ask 3 times before getting served and then they got the order wrong. But as always, they made it worth our while. Good place to visit.

I just found out that there are 2 Bag of Beans in Tagaytay... I thought they re-located, so I tried the new one. It has a very good view of the volcano, however, the problem is, only 4 small tables are in the balcony. if only they have a wider place then, everything should have been perfect. Problem is the... Bag of Beans has expanded but I so miss the old rustic feel of the old place when everything was 'value for money' and not the current touristic pricey place. Sure there are still a lot of people patronizing it but the Cafe missed to preserve the 'old feel' that people of my generation appreciated - near to nature, quaint... More

My husband, friends and I walked in for dinner during Mother's Day, when the restaurant had almost no vacant tables and parking space. We ended up separating tables - three of us in one table, and eight friends in another. Our table was served well by a waiter called Jay-Jay, and an unidentified waitress with no name tag and apron.... More
