Best Place in Tagaytay for a Late Food and Coffee

I've been hearing about Bag of Beans for quite some time now. It was touted as the best place to be when hanging out in Tagaytay on a cold evening but I never got the time to go there. But last October I went there for a conference and the venue offered food that failed to pique my interest. So... read more

I've read great reviews of this place so when we went to Tagaytay, I made it a point to check it out. It's a nice place they have, lots of comfortable nooks, picture-perfect spots. But our lunch did not turn out well. One order of the Chicken Kiev was over-cooked (hence becoming tough) while the other one was still raw... More

Bag of beans in Tagaytay is truly a breath of fresh of air. Its not your usual coffee shop, bag of beans offers you variety of beverages, desserts and dishes. Price is just right for their products and most of all they offer you the experience and view of Tagaytay. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and people who just likes... More

Bag of Beans near the rotonda is the best place if you want a simple meal with the best view. Their food is inexpensive and comes in really generous servings-- value for money. They have all-day breakfast which was great. They also have a store upfront where you can purchase packed snacks like chicharon. We stayed in the balcony-- really... More

Wife and I decided to go on an impromptu road trip to Tagaytay. First stop is this very nice restaurant. They have a breakfast buffet for Php495/net per person. They served the usual food during breakfast. Fruits, filipino delicacies, taho and the sorts. Would highly recommend their chocolate tablea, tawilis and coffee. A great way to start the day. It's... Coffee and pie. BEST in town. But this place has become such a commercial destination that its parking and staff cannot handle the influx of people, especially on weekends declared holidays. In all fairness, the undermanned staff are trying to cope with it so please forgive them if they fail to smile or do the wait and go routine (i.e.... More

I like the Bag of Beans located near the rotonda along Aguinaldo Highway. It is a quaint and dainty place of wood and flowers or a garden-look interior with garden sets as main dining area and yet all housed in dark brown wood like those cottages in Baguio City or like the Manor House with a perfect view at the... I used to go here for some quiet time and hearty breakfasts. This used to be a breath of fresh air. A quiet and gratifying escape from the city chaos. Imagine my surprise when I came back to a dizzyingly huge and crowded resto. Definitely not the BoB i came here for. Gone are the quiet and 'one with nature'... More

I have been in the Bag of Beans a couple of times. Most of the time, I had to skip it since the parking and tables were full. With its recent expansion, I finally had my luck. Unfortunately, I had to contend with the slow service and their seemingly disorganized staff. I was even discouraged by the server to order... More

Don't miss their apple pie, it's really good! Try also their beef tapa, it became my all time favorite because of it's soft and savory flavor.
