I always loved the food in Sonya's garden and it's quality is nice and consistent. However even though price went up in the last few years, service quality went down. It used to be very nice to be served at a table, no more. The whole experience kind of lost it's spirit.

We been going back to this special place way back 15years ago and through the years we seen the place change, the additional cottage for shops and spa are nice, but the dinning quality deteriorate, 1st it was the chinaware, they change it to a pale white uninteresting dinning ware, now the food they placed everything in the center ala... Everyone had spoken about this place and was well recommended. We travelled a long way to get here, for some very average food. Not sure if you could even legally call this a buffet, where there are no options for a meal. The choice was, spaghetti or more spaghetti. Ridiculous prices for crappy taking food. Will not recommend.

Having so many friends telling me about the place, I gave it a try... I should have remained with my slice of bread and Gruyeres ! ^^ The place is charming, that is true... The restaurant is set in a huge kind of greenhouse. Now the food... You are served some cups with different sauces, then a plate with vegetables... More

Last week my family and I went there and had an healthy lunch but I guess the simplicity of the menu does not justify the price. True, its an overall experience. Eating such healthy food amidst the quirky, shabby chic interior was nice but dont expect much from the buffet. Over the years we've been going to Sonya's Garden and... More

Last week I enjoyed my first overnight stay and this weekend brought back my boyfriend after a chance to choose the cottage I wanted following a tour of all 21 of them. The restaurant experience in the Proposal Garden with 2 dedicated waiters, served meal in courses, crystal bell to ring, and complimentary champagne made it a night to remember... More

We like fresh green salads and the one at the buffet is nice - with edible petals! The pasta, salmon belly and capers seem light, but are definitely filling. I was introduced to tarragon tea there, which was beautiful with the glazed sweet potato and turon. Tarragon tea is now a daily ritual for our household. Will always want to... More

i've heard people rave about Sonya's Garden Restaurant, so probably I expected too much from them. I was disappointed with the buffet lunch, as it was basically salad, pasta with tomato or carbonara sauce, salmon belly, mushrooms, sweetened camote and turon, with a slice of chocolate cake and refillable dalandan juice. For paying P670/ person, I was hoping to get... More

Been wanting to try Sonya's Garden for forever so i was so happy when my friend's wedding was held here. But it was just a disappointment. Our salad bowl had a worm so we called the server. They apologized and said they will just replace it. And when the replacement came, my friends started eating and guess what? They found another... More

The last time I've been to Sonya's was like 10 years ago. This month since we're in Tagaytay, we went to Sonya's Garden. Simple buffet menu but it was delicious. They have salad, pasta and a choice of tomato or cream based sauce, shitake mushroom, salmon, and desserts like Turon (banana) and sweet potato and dalandan juice. The mango slices... More
