We knew we were in for a long wait when we decided to have lunch at Josephine's. But even the 45 minute waiting time was worth it. We had: Beef Bulalo, 2 orders of Tawilis (small fried fish from the lake), Stuffed Squid, Sago & Gulaman drinks. There were 4 of us plus a small child and the food as... More

We found this place on the Main St. across from a 7/11 Convenience store. It was hidden behind a white fence next to a doghnut shop. The family was friendly, food was great so we went there twice a day for a week. I've got 50 pics with the family there who helped us get good deals on all local attractions.... More

Wanted some decent Filipino food but this was really underwhelming. Come only for the view. A little bit dated in looks as well.

I remember Josephine's fondly because of the fantastic location ( a view of Taal lake) & good food. We were on vacation and had lunch here with family.. I was dismayed that most of the food I loved were not in stock that day (vongole & lobster craving fail) and the service was slow.. I would still go back though... More

Josephine has a name in Tagaytay especially for the oldies. It was one of the first restaurants in Tagaytay. So, if you want to have that feel, visit this restaurant. But I am not so contented with their food. Being a Filipino foodie, I have been to several Filipino restaurants in Tagaytay and I believe, there are still better out... More

Finally got to eat on this place. 1st impression is that it must be expensive because the place looks nice, but pricewise its not. Service was good but food was only average, their bulalo was good but not the best, kare kare had huge chunks of meat on it. 1-2inch cuts. Their bagoong was good tho. Their sinugba didn't look... Was staying near and decided to go for something to eat in the evening, was a short wait for the table but the staff were good and made sure the wait was not to long. Being quite particular with my food i explained to the waiter what I wanted, he was very helpful and made some suggestions even suggesting a... More

Lunch or dinner at Josephine Restaurant serves filipino dishes perfect for balikbayans and foreigners to taste. It could be reached from Manila (without traffic) within an hour. Usually full during weekends, it is advisable to call and reserve a table before going there. Crispy pata (pork legs and knuckles deep fried to a crispy outside and juicy inside served with... More

Whatever you order. It's delicious! my personal favorite: Paella negra and Mutya ng Cavite. Price is just right for the food taste and ambiance. 3,000 pesos for a group of 9. Our orders, paella, nutta ng cavite, chiken and Karekare plus extra rice. Not bad right? we eat here everytime we go to tagaytay.

We arrived very early on a Sunday in December, thus the store was not opened yet, but the nice staff let us in to use the comfort room and we had ample time to take pictures outside. The buffet brunch started at 7 am and my only regret is that I had a bit of a tummy ache and was... More
