Good local food with a great view.

We ate well at Josephine's restaurant. As we were six people, we ordered several dishes to share including kare kare (beef and vegetables in a peanut sauce), rellenong talong (an aubergine stirred with ground pork and cooked in an egg), pinakbet (vegetables with shrimp and pork), and pancit Canton... read more

Josephine Restaurant provides big parking space for its guests. They have nice but small entrance which is beautiful inside. You have choice of buffet or ala-carte. Staff are presentable and courteous. Foods are so tasty and prices are affordable. If you are in groups better go ala-carte. Seafood paella is one of their best dishes.

Food was good and we didn't have to wait long to eat as the food didn't take long to get from kitchen to our table. For each dish, diners would do well to ask how many people would it be good for. For example, an order of rice is actually good for two hungry people or three not so hungry... More

With skepticism we tried the weekend lunch buffet and found it to be good. Located on the left side of the main restaurant, this buffet area offers a good and decent view of the lake/volcano and yes you can get your selfies here. Barbecue staple is good and the food gets replenished fast (but they were scrimping on the yummy... More

Can get the same items in their menu for much less at other establishment overlooking the Ridge. Disappointed with the bulalo--was tough and even resisting the provided steak knife--should have been falling off the bone.

When I am in Tagaytay City, this is where I fulfill my Filipino dishes and yummy cravings. The view of Taal Volcano just makes you want to stay and hang around for a bit more longer.
