Being a lonely planet restaurant i expected less but it ended up being good. Flavour was good and it was not spicy, the mango lassi was ok, personal is friendly and kept an eye on us.

This cute little veggie restaurant is just what you need amidst the heat and dust of Old Bagan. I ordered a daily special of asparagus and potato as could've happily eaten the whole thing twice. Situated just before the gates into old Bagan (on your left) it's easy to find and well sign posted. Definitely the best spot to refuel... More

The place to eat whenever in Bagan. Authentic Burmese food AND vegetarian. But also non-vegetarians will enjoy the food as well as the hospitality of the family running the place. Apart from the outstanding food you get sound advice to make your visit to this sacred place a blessing!

A friend in Yangon recommended this place and, after chuckling at the name, I told him I wasn't vegetarian and probably not too keen to try this place. We went the first time as we wanted light salads for lunch. Loved it so much that we came back for dinner. Then lunch the next day. The curries are super fresh... More

This vegetarian restaurant is also known as The Moon.I loved the setting, especially at night. All the food is vegetarian as the name suggests quite lovingly. The food was good and the service, as everywhere in Burma, friendly and becoming. Not a very cheap place though, but worth the while if you 're looking for something different.Set in a beautiful garden near the Ananda Pagoda... This post is not clear. There is no place in Bagan called "Be Kind to Animals." There are two vegetarian restaurants located across the street from each other: One called "The Moon" which is the apparently the original, and one called "Yar Pyi" which is the knock-off. Both of them say "Be Kind to Animals" on the sign, but they... More

Nice place in old Bagan, good vegetarian food. Good ambience, very nice staff. Tried a few items, they were all very tasty. And they have a section of smoking and non smoking. Can definitely recommend

Went today and will go again tomorrow. I had a papaya salad (as good as the best ones i had in Thailand), a lentils and tomato/ginger soup and real french fries served with coconut, chillies and tamarind sauces. Plus a bag of irresistible tamarind sweets. Bought one of their cute tee shirts saying be kind to animals. Dont miss the... More
