Ooooooo my!!! This was so good that after we finish with amazing tomato peanut curry we order one more even though we were full already. In general veggie food is not on top of my list but this family beat all seafood and noodles I have eaten on this trip. I would pay as much as needed for cooking lesson... More

What can I say. I'm a self confessed carnivore and for the past 2 days I have gone to a veggie restaurant. The service and welcome from the entire family is fantastic - and the food is fabulous. If your in Bagan, visit Yar Pyi, you won't be disappointed. Try the tomato and peanut curry, I know this sound strange... More

If you eat here, you'll know that you will have an excellent meal. Read all the feedback in the menu itself. Great idea! Whatever you choose it is nice. I met a Dutch tourist, converted to Buddisme, he eat every day in this restaurant. But you know that you support a family who supports other families providing them with work.

I'm not sure we would have come here were it not for the Trip Adviser review. It was excellent. We are not vegetarians but hugely enjoyed the selection of delicious, wholesome and filling dishes we chose from their specials of the day. Especially their roasted aubergine salad. Great service too. And very good value.

The service here was the highlight. The staff are warm and friendly, with everyone coming over to check what we thought of the food. The tomato and peanut curry was top notch, and a friend claimed the lassi was the best she'd had outside of India! The price is slightly cheaper than a lot of other restaurents in the Old... More

This was perhaps the most delightful and genuine food experience in Myanmar. My Myanmar family welcomed us kindly with Open arms, treating us to some really really great food. The plain lassis are incredible, the eggplant curry is perfect, and the fried bananas for dessert are sublime. Eat here!! You won't regret it! See you again!

Great value for what you get. Unfortunately missed out on the coveted guacamole dish due to it not being in season. Many other great choices on the menu. If you plan on visiting the Ananda Temple do it around lunch as Yar Pyi is close by. Just go it is worth it.

This is a restaurant owned and run by a family, the mother is a very lovely lady. The food here is very good, try the peanut and tomato curry, it is fantastic. I ate at both Yar Pyi and at the Moon restsurant, and while both were great i reckon this one was better. Definitely try this one.

This place is great! Family run. It's right across the street from The Moon Vegetarian Restaurant which most people flock to, presumably because it was in the Lonely Planet. It's a shame that people don't venture more to Yar Pyi- the curries are delicious (the Peanut curry, amazing) as are the vegetable sides. The restaurant is located in a parking... More

I'm not a vegetarian. But here in Bagan, I miss green and fresh vegetables, probably due to super dry climate. This restaurant is a heaven! But the location indicated by Trip Advisor is wrong. It is located near Old Bagan.
