The Chai Leng park outlet is the first Pelita outlet. The food is good especially the rice.It some how is different from other outlets. They have also expanded their business with south Indian al carte food in an air conditioned place. Vegetarians, are taken care too with an array of Indian dishes.

During a month in Penang in June this year, I had about 8 meals at the McAlister Road Nasi Kandar. This place is always very clean and hygienic, and the meals very appetising. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking great food and service.

I had their Nasi Kandar at few branches in the Penang Island itself. Like usual, never failed me when im in need of Nasi Kandar the most. Must try their soup also. Soup ekor and soup perot was superb!

Tried the fried chicken and curry chicken, both tasted nice. There is air-con room available, to dine at the room, no need to queue, just go in, waiter will come to take order. Each dish cost additional RM0.20 for dining at the air-con room.

Worth visiting if it is along your planned route. Nasi kandar is one of the Malaysian typical place to have breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner and even supper. Do try it.

Went here with my love for the diner. What a lot choices to eat and all fresh. I didn't now to eat so the staff helped me. They called me to the buffet and explained what what is. That is service right!? Final is that I ate very delicious meal. I tried many chicken species and pawns. Very good. The... More

Nasi kandar is always 1 of my favourite food. This Pelita at Chai Leng Park branch is the 1st shop for Pelita. If you go at lunch & dinner time, the queue will be long. You will need to queue up at the food counter before your turn to point & request what dish or meat you desire. All time... More

I have tried almost every Pelita nasi kandar in Penang (as I am a big nasi kandar fan) and this is the best one! The curry flavour is more intense than any other Pelita restaurants. The Pelita by Sungai Dua yellow house near University Science Malaysia comes second. There is an air-conditioned section at the back. It is quite pleasant... More

We ate here for dinner for the 2nd day in a row...the food is YUMMMM..I can't understand why there aren't more tourists frequenting it: we were the only westerners there both times (?could be a good thing!). We chose to sit in the outdoor 'smoking' section as there was less glare there was a pleasant breeze and the tables are... More
