Nice atmosphere, medium service

Came here 3 times. The buffalo steak was nice, the Pasta was decent, the sandwich was very good. The service was friendly and attentive but slow. Would recommend this place for the atmosphere and the guides coming in all the time.

Located on the main road, this place has "authentic Toraja" interior and offers great food and good service. However, the only locals you will see here are tour guides looking for customers. That is because only tourists eat here (I suppose the prices, yet moderate, are above what locals are ready to pay). If you don't mind being surrounded by... More

Friendly atmosphere, crowded with tourists waiting for the night bus to Makassar.Food was ok. Juices were good. The srevice so, so. There were 3 of us and each of us had ordered something different. The 3 plates came 10 minutes apart, so we didn't eat together in the sense of all starting at the sane time. When looking around I... More

We found the cafe in the busy street of rantepau. The food was delicious. We had an amazing night: drinking some beers and while enjoying guitar music with the owner another Dutch couple and some local guides. We recommend you to spend some time here.

Well unfortunately I didn't spend my time at Cafe Aras quite as I would have liked. While dining there I became ill with a stomach migraine (severe abdominal pain, nothing to do with the food) and as a result ended up on the restaurant floor, unable to move for 2 hours. The staff were very kind - offering me tea,... More

We went for the pizza's, but they were quite disappointing. Asian food was fine. Place is very nicely decorated.

One of the few place in Rantepao where you can feel an international atmosphere. Good food for cheap. Nice service. You can't miss it if you stay in Rantepao.

Considered one of the best places to eat in Rantepao, Cafe Aras is nothing more than just average. The food menu is suitable for vegetarians, with some salads and things. Get any salad with sauce on the side because it's just Mayo and ketchup mixed together. It's as vile as it reads. Order some fries maybe and put it to... More
