It will certainly be cleaner and way cheaper. We were not impressed by the oily food or the hygiene. My wife and I both had runny stomachs after our meal there. Great place for having a party but not a great dining experience at all

We visited this cafe on the harbour for lunch. Setting is very informal, wooden tables under a marquee with gravel underfoot. There are also tables and a bar inside. The menu consists of steakhouse dishes and a lot of seafood. Deep fried, greasy seafood. I certainly expected more from a restaurant situated by a harbour. The place was busy as... More

Been here twice in one week. Setting is casual, typical of a seaside restaurant. Service is prompt and very vriendly. Food is of good standard. I will be back soon.

Old rustic "bungalo/shack" " but food is out of this world! Always fresh, the servers knowledgeable and accomodating. Your mussels and oysters gets hauled out of the sea in front of you-lovely view across the bay with the sea lapping against the side of th restaurant-a must when you visit Mossel Bay.

Waitress fantastic. Food terrible. Dorado resembled a tortoise. Greek salad looked like pasta. Burger I could buy better patties at checkers. Seafood salad tasteless. Oysters with no Tabasco lemon or pepper

What is better than having fresh seafood and sitting next to the ocean?! Very laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. Also on tap is one of the local beers! They are also not shy with the portions of their food!! A must-do when you are visiting Mossel Bay!

Sea Gypsey still offer good value for money seafood and belong to the same group that owns Delfino’s. We found it strange that the one Restaurant from the same group is Banting friendly and Sea Gypsey was not Banting friendly. We wanted to swop the potato chips for a green salad that was not allowed unless you pay R 10... More

Hi good day firstly thank you for your review. The main reason for the extra charge is the fact that fruit and veg is much more costly than rice or chips. The Sea Gypsy has two Owners and the others shops only one. Thank you very much. Kind regards Colin Sea Gypsy. More

Service depends on the waiter but overall good service received everytime we went there. You can bring your own wine but the wine is affordable so most people order from the menu. Delicious fresh fish. Combos and baskets available.
