Love the Greek atmosphere

Love the atmosphere at this gem on the quay. Protect your food from the gulls when it arrives and lean over the railing/wall to watch the blacktails while you wait.

Was not impressed with this venue, service is slow, and was not very impressed with the food. My boyfriend and I ordered line fish, mine was so dry and tasteless, and his was also over cooked.

Food below average very limited menu, and felt like we were too much trouble, actually had one of the waiters say he was too busy he needed to get 'our'waitress, quite ignorant, won't go back.

On recommendation from a friend we visited the Sea Gipsy for dinner. On our arrival we stood in the "reception area" like lost souls floating the abyss to the point that I felt like the swinging sunflower in a kindergarden play - everybody looking and giggling at the poor child with no real value to add. Eventually seated (without a... More

I visited every year since 2009 and the service, quality of food and value for money has not changed! What a littel gem of a affordable restuarant with a great view of sunsets over the sea and mountains. Sit and relax while enjoying fresh seafood and ice cold beers or wine. Remember to grab the pen and sign the wall!... More

We tried the sea gypsy cafe for dinner. Firstly there were people smoking all over us, after we ask for a "non-smoking" area. Secondly, the waiter recommended a T-bone steak to my husband and when he ate the first bite the steak was sour. The manager confirm and offer another steak. I don't think this was very professional at all.... More

Ordered 4 x Gypsey Breakfasts, restaurant not at all busy. Food arrived and was cold. Got new breakfasts(fresh eggs & chips) the rest was just warmed up. Most of the eggs had slimy whites and the toast could not even be called toast. We have been in Mossel Bay for 7 years now and used to go there frequently but... More
