Description: This one is listed on Google maps - On Lake Victoria Kisumu. It has amazing food and is a terrific location so I'd like to review and recommend. Unfortunately most businesses in Kenya have no online presence.

Other than the allure of the traditional tilapia dish, the menu is limited and service poor. The location has potential of becoming something big with the planned Kisumu Urban project city upgrade, with access roads set for improvement. The food is tasty though, improvement needed on ablution and general cleanliness

Great place to catch up on the local cusine. The location was nice but the highlight of the visit, wasnt the frontside view of Lake Victoria rather the huge tilapia fish that was served with much relish and could easily accomodate a group of seven. We were a group of five and we all ate heartily to our fill and... More

The fish served with french fries couldn't be any better. They need to improve on their service though...too slow...

The fish was well cooked. Location was quite nice, but needs some investment to raise standards of facilities. Spray on that insect repellent and avoid dusk - we were visited by many bugs from bees after our sugary drinks to mosquitos, moths, etc etc. So avoid sugary drinks or you will attract over 50 bees all around your bottles and... If you want to get the sense of fish eating culture of the Luo community while in Kisumu, then this is the place to visit. Unlike Lwang'ni restaurants just before it, this restaurant is peaceful, clean and secure for your car. Even though the road getting there is at its worse conditions, I think is fun part of it. The... More

It is a nice place, you can choose your own fish which is then cooked for you. The view of the lake is nice. The food is tasty and tradition, but nothing too special. The prices are quite high though and the atmosphere is average. Service is below par. A good place when you want a laidback meal and are... More

You have the choice of small, medium or large Tilapia (hint: the large is enough for two). The fish comes either "dry" (grilled/roasted) or "wet" (in a sauce), with ugali and a green vegetable. Eat with your fingers like the locals and enjoy a Tusker beer. Situated at the end of a bumpy dirt road right beside the lake. A... More

Ok, this place has an unfair advantage as they can access the freshest fish! The size of the Tilapia is too huge for one. The Tilapia is really tasty and prepared with natural ingredients. It is a must go if in Kisumu.

When you first reach the Tilapia Beach road you are greeted by many smaller restaurants with beckoning waiters, however the main 'Tilapia Beach' restaurant is further down the very bumpy road. There is loads of space and outdoor seating however the name is misleading as there is a concrete wall between you and the lake, and so hence no actual... More

Well, this is a cheap, no frills, economies-of-scale kind of eating place. For a local like me, the food (tilapia) remains delicious. Forget about ambiance, service and other such frills. The name of the game here is fairly good food at the lowest possible cost to the customer for the greatest gain to the hotelier. Be prepared as there are... More
